well deserved and without any doubt – Dario Saric was voted the MVP of
the Final Four tournament of ABA League. The player in the jersey of
the celebrating team Cibona, which has been born 20 years ago in
Sibenik, dominated in Belgrade and throught the season. Just take a
look at the statistics from the final game – 23 points and valuation
33! And, although still under impression, calm and composed, in the
manner of great sportsman, he started the analysis immediately after
the game. „We entered the game without pressure upon us. We knew that
Cedevita was going to play disciplined, but we started strongly, just
like in the semi-final. I don't know what to say, it's hard for me to
talk about how it was, since I put the whole of me in the game. This

April 27, 2014 - Cibona conquers ABA League for 1st time
Cibona
has beaten Cedevita in the final in Kombank Arena Belgrade and have
completed their collection of trophies in their trophy case. The
amazing this season's cinderella story of Cibona has ended with a
celebration in the final game of the league over their city rivals
Cedevita. The famous team from Zagreb, the wolves of Tuškanac, have won
the ABA League champions' title for the first time ever and have added
the last missing trophy, which they have never managed to win, to their
trophy case. After an early 4th minute 4:0 lead by Cedevita, Cibona put
together a 14:4 partial result in the following 4 minutes and took, the
lead, that they havent let go all until the half time, when they were

April 27, 2014 - Final, Cibona - Cedevita
In
the final game of 2013/14 season, two Zagreb rivals Cibona and Cedevita
will face themselves in Kombank Arena in the first ever all Croatian
final in the regional competition. Take look at the close up of the
game. Sunday's ABA League final game will be a game of totally new
things for this league. For the first time in the entire ABA League
history, two Croatian teams will face in the final of the league, for
only the third time, since Serbian teams started to participate in the
league, they will not have a representative in the final and for only
the second time, since they started to participate, Partizan NIS will
not play for the title in the final. The team that wins the final on
Sunday, will become the champion of ABA League for the first time – no
matter if it's Cedevita or Cibona. The only Croatian team to win the
regional league title so far is still Zadar. While this is the fourth
final of the regional competition in their 5 appearances at the final
tournaments for Cibona, Cedevita will play their second final in their

April 25, 2014 - Buzzer beater by Nolan Smith took Cedevita to final
In
the second semi-final game of the season, Cedevita has defeated
Partizan NIS with a buzzer-beating three pointer by Nolan Smith
(81:79). On Sunday's final game, the two Zagreb teams Cedevita and
Cibona will meet in Kombank Arena. In 2012, when Cedevita and Partizan
NIS met for the first and last time until this year in ABA League final
tournaments, Cedevita became the one and only team to beat Partizan NIS
in the semi-final games of the final tournaments. The history repeated
this season in Belgrade – Cedevita relegated the black and whites in
the semi-final and advanced to the final. The beginning of the game was
similar than the one of the first semi-final of the season, since the
home side started nervously and struggled to score, even on the open

April 25, 2014 - Semifinal 2, Cedevita - Partizan NIS
In
the second semi-final pair of this season, Partizan NIS and Cedevita
will face in Kombank Arena. For the second time in the history of ABA
League final tournaments, Partizan NIS and Cedevita will face each
other. This will be the second Final Four tournament for Cedevita and
the 8th time, that Partizan NIS has reached the final tournament and
6th time in a row. The last and only time that they met in Final Four,
two years ago in Tel Aviv, Cedevita was successful and reached the
final in their debutant appearance. This was also the only time that
Partizan NIS failed to reach the final. However, it's worth mentioning,
that the Zagreb team has never ever beaten Partizan NIS in Belgrade, so
it will be interesting to find out which tradition would end this time.

April 24, 2014 - Blassingame and Saric took Cibona to final
In
the first semi-final of ABA League, Cibona has beaten Crvena zvezda
Telekom 75:70 with an excellent contribution by Jerel Blassingame (28
points) and Dario Saric (21). The wolves reached the final for 4th time
in history. First half began very nervously on both sides and none of
the teams managed to score until the 3rd minute. Boban Marjanovic was
the first to break the ice with a successfully executed free throw.
Cibona went ahead between 4th and 8th minute, when they made a 15:0 run
and took the 17:5 lead. Jaka Blazic scored 10 points for Crvena zvezda
Telekom in the first quarter, but this was not enough for anything more
than a 6-point deficit after 10 minutes. Read more here.

the first semi-final pair of this season, Crvena zvezda Telekom and
Cibona will face each other in Kombank Arena. The best placed team and
the biggest surprise team of the regular season are about to meet in
the first semi-final of 2014 Final Four tournament in Belgrade. Crvena
zvezda Telekom has been dominant throughout the regular season and has
finished that part of the competition with only 4 defeats at their
account. On the other hand, the season of Cibona has been a pretty
turbulent one, but in the end they managed to create a true Cinderella
story, shock the entire basketball community and make their way towards
the Final Four tournament, where not many of them have expected them to

the presentational press conference in Kombank Arena, several
individual prizes for special achievements, that will be awarded to
individuals and our clubs during the Final Four tournament, were
presented. Dario Sarić was voted the most improved player of the season
by the head coaches of ABA League teams. After many changes have
occured in Cibona's team during the season, still only 20-year old
Sarić has become a true leader of Cibona on and off the court and has
taken his team to the Final Four tournament in Belgrade. This season,
the Sibenik born player has been averaging 16.3 points, 9.5 rebounds, 3
assists and 1.4 steals per game in the regional competition and became

host F4 Tournament
According
to the ABA League decision the 2014 Final Four Tournament will be held
in Belgrade from 24.-27.4. It is for the third time that the Serbian
capital will host the most prestigious event of the ABA League season.
The first semi-final will be played on Thursday, April 24th, while the
second one is scheduled for Friday, April 25th. The final will take
place on Sunday, April 27th. The F4 Tournament will be played in
