  Alessandro Fiorelli Basketball Stories

alessandro fiorelliAlessandro is an Italian sportswriter who started to love basketball mainly thanks to the defensive intensity and fast breaks of late 1990s Virtus Roma team. In his childhood, he practiced various sports including tennis and football but his first and long-lasting passion remains basketball.

He graduated in International Relations in Rome and gained a Master in European Studies at the Free University of Brussels in 2008.

He starts to have the first tarnished memories of basketball the same year (1992) of Partizan’s Euroleague triumph with young and unknown players led by an even more unknown coach and he still sometimes wonders if all that was real.
