We
are still dealing with the ball management which can naturaly lead to a
better ball dribbling. As you can see in picture 1 we are still using
the glasses which lower our peripheral eyesight. I have to say the
girls made fun of them when they saw them in my hands.
Despite
of some comments they trained as I expected from them. Naturally, they
thought I have ended with the novelties after this practice, but I
surprised them again on the next practice. There was some complaining
but we still did some more difficult dribbling, such as dribbling close
to the body and front exchange. I tried them myself.
As you can see in pictures 2 and 3, the glasses are plastic and
extremely light. You have to focus on the exercise entirely. As you
will be able to see in the videos the girls executed their exercise
quite successfully and actually did not feel burdened by the glasses
anymore. The same thing as often before has occurred – they did not
want to easily accept something new. I would like to appeal to all my
colleagues to spice up their practices with such a novelty; it does not
require a change of the practice.
As
it can be seen in the videos, we were dealing with the ball handling in
the combinaton of dribbling. Especially interesting are the videos
where the player switches from sitting down to lying down while
dribbling. In the next publication we will present such and similar
exercise (with the glasses), but with a demonstrator, who will
personally present his feelings about our prop.
