December 15, 2016 - 7DAYS EuroCup Round 10 MVP: Janis Timma, Zenit St Petersburg
The
7DAYS EuroCup regular season has come to an end! With it, 16 teams
advanced to the Top 16 and one of them, Zenit St Petersburg, did it as
group champ. In the last round, forward Janis Timma led the team to a
home win over Unicaja Malaga to earn weekly MVP honors in the process
with a performance index rating of 36. Timma had a career-best
performance with 33 points (including 7 of 17 threes), 10 rebounds, 3
assists, 2 steals and 2 blocks in over 38 minutes on court. The 7
threes hit by Timma match the third best mark ever in the EuroCup, as
the record right now stands at 9 made threes in a single game, shared
by three players. Timma had personal highs with this game in PIR,
Points, Offensive Rebounds (5), Blocks and Minutes Played. After Timma,
the player with the best personal performance this week was Nizhny
Novgorod's Kenneth Boynton, who had a PIR of 31 thanks to his 31

December 14, 2016 - Round 10
Round 10 of the regular season will bring some drama
as three teams battle for two tickets to the Top 16 from Group B. Three
teams are also in the hunt for first place in Group C, while
head-to-head clashes in Groups A and D will decide second place. So
much still to play for! Second-place in the group will be on the line
when Nizhny Novgorod (4-3) hosts Cedevita Zagreb (5-2). If the visitors
win, or lose by less than 16 points, Cedevita will advance from the
second spot and Nizhny from third place. For Nizhny to be second, it

December 8, 2016 - Regular Season Round 9 MVP: Elmedin Kikanovic, ALBA Berlin
For
the second time this season, and against the same opponent, Elmedin
Kikanovic of ALBA Berlin has earned the MVP of the Week honor in the
7DAYS EuroCup. Kikanovic led ALBA to a Top 16-clinching 97-99 road win
on Wednesday against Lietuvos Rytas Vilnius with 29 points based on
dominant 13-for-18 two-point shooting. He went 3-for-3 on free throws,
as well, and added 3 rebounds, 2 assists, a steal and 3 fouls drawn for
a performance index rating of 33, the highest among all EuroCup players
in Regular Season Round 9. Kikanovic had already shined against Rytas
five rounds earlier, amassing a PIR of 35 in their classic
double-overtime battle, won by ALBA, but in that game he had just 22
points after 40 minutes. He has scored 15 points or better in each
EuroCup game this season, but most important is that Wednesday's win in
Vilnius broke a three-game losing streak to send ALBA to the Top 16.

December 7, 2016 - Round 9
As we enter the penultimate round of the 7DAYS
EuroCup regular season, there is much attention focused on Group B,
where four teams are engaged in a battle for three open spots in the
Top 16. And in the other three groups, there is still much to fight for
as teams try to rank as high as possible before the Top 16. Lietkabelis
Panevezys (3-4) plays its final regular season game against group
leader Herbalife Gran Canaria Las Palmas (5-1), which can clinch first
place with a win. If Lietkabelis loses, it will finish the regular
season in fourth place. Gran Canaria (96.5 ppg.) boasts the EuroCup’s
top-ranked offense, with an average of 17.5 points scored per game more
than Lietkabelis.

December 1, 2016 - 7DAYS EuroCup Round 8 MVP: Ivan Strebkov, Nizhny Novgorod
Eight
rounds of the 7DAYS EuroCup have gone by and three of the four regular
season groups have already allocated all tickets to the Top 16. One of
the teams that advanced this week was Nizhny Novgorod, whose Ivan
Strebkov earned MVP of the week honors with his performance index
rating of 36. Strebkov was almost flawless in leading his team against
Lietkabelis Penevezys with his 31 points including 5 of 8 twos, 4 of 6
threes and 9 of 9 free throws; 2 rebounds; 4 assists and 7 drawn fouls.
Strebkov had career records in both PIR and scoring from this game.
Secondi n line this week was Chris Babb of ratiopharm Ulm with his PIR
of 31. Babb scored 30 points, pulled 5 boards, dished 3 assists and had
1 steal against Lokomotiv Kuban Krasnodar in a game which also produced

November 30, 2016 - Round 8
The 7DAYS Eurocup Regular Season enters its final
third with nine teams already in the Top 16. However, there are still
seven berths to fill up, and several teams have chances to punch their
ticket this week. Group B is the rare case with a closest race and no
qualifiers at all. Expect another thrilling week full of exciting games
as the Top 16 draws closer! Intent on snapping a losing streak and
perhaps reaching the Top 16 by doing so, Nizhny Novgorod (2-3) hosts
already-qualified Lietkabelis Panevezys (3-3) on Wednesday. Nizhny won
its only previous game ever against Lietkabelis 72-75 earlier in the
regular season on the road.

many as six teams celebrated advancing to the Top 16 in the 7DAYS
EuroCup Round 7. One of them, Unicaja Malaga, also saw a big individual
performance by its own Kyle Fogg, who, with a performance index rating
of 33, claimed weekly MVP honors. Fogg had his best game of the season,
scoring 31 points (including 6 of 10 threes), pulling 2 rebounds,
dishing 3 assists and drawing 5 fouls for a complete performance at
home that led his team into the next phase. Maximilian Kleber was next
in line this week with a performance index rating of 31. Kleber scored
20 points, pulled 10 boards, had 2 steals and drew 6 fouls to also lead
his team into the Top 16. Niels Giffey of ALBA Berlin and Alexey Shved
of Khimki Moscow Region completed the best individual performances of

November 23, 2016 - Round 7
An exciting Round 6 identified four Top 16
qualifiers in the 2016-17 7DAYS EuroCup. Round 7 will see more teams
fighting for its chances to qualify, while others try to stay alive in
the competition. All eight games will be played on Wednesday.
Already-qualified Lietkabelis Panevezys (3-2) hosts Cedevita Zagreb
(3-2) at 18:00 CET. Cedevita qualifies with a win, regardless of other
results. Cedevita is one of the highest scoring teams in the
competition (86 ppg.) but also allows more points than most (86.6
ppg.).

November 17, 2016 - 7DAYS EuroCup Round 6 MVP: Gintaras Leonavicius, Lietkabelis Panevezys
The
7DAYS EuroCup regular season crossed the midway point this week to see
the last undefeated team fall, but also a few of them also advancing to
the Top 16. One of the teams that punched its ticket to the next phase
was newcomer Lietkabelis Panevezys led by Gintaras Leonavicius and his
performance index rating of 31, which earned him weekly MVP honors for
Round 6. Leonavicius scored 19 almost perfect points (3 of 4 twos, 3 of
3 threes and 4 of 4 free throws) and pulled 9 rebounds for respective
career highs, while he also had 1 steal and drew 5 fouls off the bench
against MZT Skopje Aerodrom for a great all-around performance. Second
in line this week was Montakit Fuenlabrada's Ivan Paunic and Lietuvos
Rytas Vilnius' Arturas Gudaitis with a performance index rating of 30
apiece. Paunic had personal records with 23 points and 7 assists plus 6
rebounds, while Gudaitis had 12 points, 15 boards (a career-high for

November 16, 2016 - Round 6
We're past the mid-point of the 7DAYS EuroCup
regular season, and each team has only four more games to try to get
sttled in the Top 16 race. As things start to get closer towards the
end of the phase, only one team, Herbalife Gran Canaria Las Palmas,
remains undefeated in the competition while three others - MZT Skopje
Aerodrom, Buducnost VOLI Podgorica and Union Olimpija Ljubljana - still
look for a first win that could still keep them alive at this point. Do

November 10, 2016 - 7DAYS EuroCup Round 5 MVP: Pierre Jackson, Cedevita Zagreb
The
7DAYS EuroCup regular season has reached its midway point and only one
team, Herbalife Gran Canaria Las Palmas, remains undefeated after five
rounds. This week featured more impressive individual performances the
best of which was for Cedevita Zagreb's Pierre Jackson, who earned
weekly MVP honors thanks to his performance index rating of 37. Jackson
hit a career record with his 38 points which included 6 of 8 threes.
This is the highest scoring mark so far this season in the league.
Jackson also added 1 rebound, 5 assists and 1 steal to a great
performance that led his team to its second win in Group A. Jackson was
closely followed this week by David Logan of Lietuvos Rytas Vilnius,
who racked up a performance index rating of 35 in his team's win. Logan
scored 27 points, pulled 6 boards, dished 9 assists, had 1 steal and

The 7DAYS EuroCup reaches its midway point with
eight Round 5 games. The action will see Herbalife Gran Canaria Las
Palmas of Group A and Hapoel Bank Yahav Jerusalem of Group D try to
remain undefeated, while three clubs seek their first win. There is a
possibility in Groups B, C and D of three-way ties for first place,

A
specialist in games that need more than one overtime to be resolved,
ALBA Berlin got a new win over Lietuvos Rytas Vilnius in Round 4 of the
7DAYS EuroCup after two extra sessions. One player rose in the ALBA
team to lead all his teammates to the final win, Elmedin Kikanovic,
racking up a performance index rating of 35 to claim MVP honors this
week. Kikanovic signed big numbers in the double-OT win with his best
inidividual performance ever in the competition: 33 points, 8 rebounds,
2 assists and 10 fouls drawn (all career bests for him) to lead ALBA to
its third win this season. His index rating was also a career-best for
Kikanovic. Right behind him was Hapoel Bank Yahav Jerusalem's Curtis
Jerrells with a performance index rating of 34, to lead his team to its
third win to stay undefeated. Jerrells netted 18 points, pulled 9
rebounds, dished 7 assists, had 4 steals and drew 7 fouls in a

Regular Season Round 4 arrives with big battles for
first place, showdowns between former 7DAYS EuroCup champions, and a
couple of all-Spanish battles. Only two teams – Herbalife Gran Canaria
Las Palmas in Group A and Hapoel Bank Yahav Jerusalem in Group D – are
still undefeated, while four others are still looking for their first

The
2016-17 7DAYS EuroCup is already in full swing, as after Round 2 all
teams have already played at least one game. The second round of
competition proved to be as thrilling as ever and when the dust
settled, three players emerged above the rest as the ones with the
highest performance index rating among winning players. Herbalife Gran
Canaria Las Palmas' Kyle Kuric and two faces from Lietkabelis
Panevezys, Ksistof Lavrinovic and Zygimantas Skucas, racked up a 25
each to become MVP's in Round 2. Kuric earned his second straight
accolade of the season, since he was also Round 1 MVP, as he led his
team to a valuable road win at Nizhny Novgorod thanks to 20 points, 3
rebounds, 1 assist and 4 steals off the bench for an impressive start

October 18, 2016 - Round 2
Round 2 of the 7DAYS EuroCup Regular Season gets
underway on Tuesday with a battle between former a semifinalist, Nizhny
Novgorod, and a former finalist, visiting Herbalife Gran Canaria Las
Palmas, then upgrades to former champions when Amar'e Stoudamire and
Hapoel Bank Yahav Jerusalem visit three-time EuroCup winner Valencia

October 13, 2016 - Round 1 MVP: Kyle Kuric, Herbalife Gran Canaria Las Palmas
A
new era started in the 7DAYS EuroCup with the opening week of the
2016-17 season, and when the dust settled after eight games, a local
hero emerged as Round 1 MVP. After missing practically the whole
2015-16 season due to a tumor, fan-favorite Kyle Kuric of Herbalife
Gran Canaria came back to EuroCup competition in style with a
performance index rating of 25 that led his team to the first win of
the season and earned him weekly MVP honors in the process. Kuric led
the way with 25 points, 4 rebounds, 1 steal and 1 assists to become the
main pillar of his team's victory against Cedevita Zagreb. Kuric was
the winning player with the highest performance index rating, but three
players - all of them on losing sides - had a higher mark, all of them

A new 7DAYS EuroCup season is upon us! Five former
competition champions and three past runner-ups start a new season with
high ambitions. A full slate of games on Wednesday features a clash of
two of those former champs going against each other in Group B and two
other former champs looking for wins that would extend their respective
historic winning streaks.
