March 23, 2017 - 7DAYS EuroCup, Semifinals Game 3 MVP: Fernando San Emeterio, Valencia Basket
A
familiar face these last weeks emerged once again for Valencia Basket,
as Fernando San Emeterio claimed MVP honors also in Game 3 of the
semifinals with a performance index rating of 21 to lead his team into
the finals against Unicaja Malaga. San Emeterio led the way for the
winners with 15 points, 4 assists, 2 steals and 4 drawn fouls. San
Emeterio also won the MVP honors in Game 1 of the series plus Game 1 of
the quarterfinals. Tied with him was Hapoel Bank Yahav Jerusalem's
Amare Stoudemire, also with a PIR 21, thanks to 17 points and 3
rebounds, but he was not eligible for the weekly accolade due to
playing on the losing side. The top individual performances in the game
were completed by Valencia's Luke Sikma (PIR 19), Rafa Martinez (PIR

March 22, 2017 - Game 3
The 2016-17 7DAYS EuroCup season goes down to one
game for Valencia Basket and Hapoel Bank Yahav Jerusalem, as only the
winner will keep fighting to win the competition. Valencia hopes to
make the most of the home court advantage to advance to what would be
its fifth EuroCup final. Valencia is 9-1 in front of its fans this
season but its only home loss came against Jerusalem, 77-81, in regular
season action. Jerusalem is trying to reach the EuroCup final for the
first time since 2004, when it beat Real Madrid to claim its only

March 18, 2017 - Semifinals, Game 2 MVP: Nemanja Nedovic, Unicaja Malaga
Game
2 of the 7DAYS EuroCup Semifinals gave us the first finalist.
Competition debutant Unicaja Malaga reached the finals by sweeping
Lokomotiv Kuban Krasnodar. Point guard Nemanja Nedovic played a key
role in Unicaja's 74-63 win in Game 2 on Friday night and in the
process earned MVP honors for his performance. Nedovic matched his
career-high with 21 points, making 3 of 6 shots two-point and 3 of 7
three-point shots. He went 6-for-8 from the free throw line, dished 4
assists, drew 7 fouls and had a rebound and a steal. His performance
index rating 23 was also his career best and the highest among players
on winning teams in semifinals Game 2. The highest index rating for
Game 2 of the semifinals belongs to Rafa Martinez of Valencia Basket,
who accumulated a PIR of 24 in his team's 79-66 defeat at Hapoel Bank

March 17, 2017 - Game 2
After Unicaja Malaga won on the road and Valencia
Basket in front of its fans, to win the openers of the 7DAYS EuroCup
semifinals, their respective opponents Lokomotiv Kuban Krasnodar and
Hapoel Bank Yahav Jerusalem look to bounce back and keep their seasons
– and the semifinal series – alive in Game 2 on Friday. Friday action
starts as Hapoel Bank Yahav Jerusalem tries to keep its EuroCup season
alive when it hosts Valencia Basket at its Pais Arena Jerusalem where
Jerusalem has seven wins in eight games.

March 15, 2017 - 7DAYS EuroCup, Semifinals Game 1 MVP: Fernando San Emeterio, Valencia Basket
The
next-to-last stage of the 7DAYS EuroCup started on Tuesday with the
opening game of the semifinals and when the dust settled, the two
Spanish teams were leading their respective series. The spotlight shone
on Fernando San Emeterio of Valencia, who led his team to the first win
and earned MVP honors in the process, thanks to a performance index
rating of 31. San Emeterio netted 21 points, pulled 4 rebounds, dished
3 assists, had 2 steals and drew 8 fouls for his best EuroCup game ever
at a key moment of the season. In fact, San Emeterio had EuroCup
career-highs in PIR and points. Following him, the best individual
performances of the opening game of the semis were completed by Hapoel
Bank Yahav Jerusalem's Tarence Kinsey with a PIR of 25, thanks to 22
points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists; and Unicaja Malaga's Jeff Brooks, who
led his team to a huge road win at Lokomotiv Kuban Krasnodar thanks to

games of the best-of-three semifinals, whose winners will become

Valencia Basket vs. Hapoel Bank Yahav Jerusalem
Three-time EuroCup champion Valencia Basket has made
it to the semifinals for the seventh time in competition history, after
previous appearances in 2003, 2005, 2010, 2012, 2013 and 2014. Hapoel
Bank Yahav Jerusalem has made it to the EuroCup Semifinals for the
first time in more than a decade. In its two previous appearances, it
defeated Reflex FMP Zeleznik in 2004 on its way to the title and lost
against Dynamo Moscow in 2006. Valencia and Jerusalem have faced each
other six times in the past, including two showdowns in this year's
EuroCup regular season. The home team won only once in those six games;
Valencia leads the all-time series 4-2. This season, Jerusalem recorded
a 77-81 road win at Fuente de San Luis arena behind 18 points from
Curtis Jerrells and 17 from Jerome Dyson. After that loss, Valencia
went on win its next 13 EuroCup games, including an 84-86 triumph at
Pais Arena Jerusalem. Antoine Diot led the way for Valencia with 21

Lokomotiv Kuban Krasnodar vs. Unicaja Malaga
Two of the best defenses in the 7DAYS EuroCup clash
in this intriguing series. Lokomotiv Kuban Krasnodar is in the
semifinals for just the second time; it won the competition in 2013.
Unicaja made its EuroCup debut this season and is now just four wins
from the title!Three seasons in the EuroCup and three appearances in
the final? Not quite, but that will be true for Unicaja’s Joan Plaza if
his team wins this series. Plaza previously guided Real Madrid to the
2007 ULEB Cup crown and took Cajasol Sevilla to the 2011 title game
before falling to Unica Kazan. Sasa Obradovic is in his first season on
the Lokomotiv bench and tasted sweet success often as a player,
including three EuroBasket gold medals and the 1998 World Championships
