March 25, 2019 - Semifinals MVP: Peyton Siva, ALBA Berlin
Peyton
Siva is enjoying his finest season as a professional basketball player
and the 7DAYS EuroCup Semifinals were the latest stage for him to star
on. Siva stood out in the semifinals in pacing ALBA Berlin to a sweep
of MoraBanc Andorra. He was the competition leader in both points
scored and performance index rating in the semifinals as well as the
MVP for Game 1 of the series. His massive impact in taking ALBA to the
EuroCup Finals for the first time since 2010 – with a chance to win the
club's first continental trophy since the 1995 Korac Cup – made Siva
the natural choice for MVP of the 7DAYS EuroCup Semifinals. Read more here.

March 22, 2019 - Game 2
After both series openers went down to the wire, now
its turn for 7DAYS EuroCup Semifinals Game 2s to provide for some more
drama. The two hosts, UNICS Kazan and MoraBanc Andorra, have both been
perfect on home floor this season, and they will both try to extend the
streak and force Game 3 in their respective series. UNICS will attempt
to overcome a challenge from Valencia Basket and send the series back
to Pabellon Fuente De San Luis, while MoraBanc hosts ALBA Berlin in its
first ever EuroCup semifinal home game, and hopes the series will go
back to the German capital next week. Read more here.

Peyton
Siva is not slowing down. After leading ALBA Berlin to victory in the
quarterfinals as both the Game 3 MVP and the Quarterfinals MVP, Siva
produced his best game of the season in the semifinals opener to earn
Semifinals Game 1 MVP honors. Siva was virtually unstoppable as ALBA
outlasted MoraBanc Andorra 102-97. The point guard scored 18 points on
near-perfect shooting and dished 9 assists in compiling a performance
index rating of 32, which was both a season-high and the best of the 42
players to compete in Game 1 of the semifinals. He made both of his
two-point shots, was 3 for 4 on three-pointers and perfect in 5 trips
to the free throw line. Siva also collected 4 rebounds and 2 steals.
The second-highest PIR in Game 1 came from his teammate Luke Sikma with
22 behind a 20-points, 7-rebounds and 6-assist effort. Valencia
Basket's Mike Tobey was third with a PIR of 19 thanks to 14 points, 6
rebounds and 3 blocks. Read more here.
March 19, 2019 - Game 1
In many ways, the first games of
the 7DAYS EuroCup Semifinals when as expected. The series between ALBA
Berlin and MoraBanc Andorra was a high-scoring thriller. The series
between Valencia Basket and UNICS Kazan a defensive slugfest. Both
games were only decided in the final minute and the home team was
victorious in each. They meet again on Friday on the opposition's home
floor with ALBA and Valencia looking for sweeps and MoraBanc and UNICS
