December 23, 2019 - Regular Season MVP: Milos Teodosic, Segafredo Virtus Bologna
Euroleague
Basketball is pleased to announce that Milos Teodosic of Segafredo
Virtus Bologna has been chosen as the MVP of the 2019-20 7DAYS EuroCup
Regular Season. Teodosic has dominated despite coming off his team's
bench, leading Virtus to first place in Group A and a share of the best
regular-season record in the competition at 8-2. The legendary point
guard led his team in scoring, assists and performance index ranking.
He ranked second in the entire competition in points per 40 minutes
(26.8). Teodosic is the third winner of the mid-season award, which was
introduced before the 2017-18 season. Scottie Wilbekin of Darussafaka
Istanbul was the first winner and Pierria Henry of UNICS Kazan captured
it last season. Read more here.
December 19, 2019 - Round 10 MVP: James Kelly, Maccabi Rishon LeZion
In
just his second game in the 7DAYS EuroCup, center James Kelly of
Maccabi Rishon LeZion claimed the MVP honor for Round 10 with some of
the most compelling numbers of the just-completed regular season.
Kelly, who was a mid-season signing due to injuries, exploded for 27
points on 12-of-16 two-point shooting, 14 rebounds, 4 assists and 4
steals in his team's 96-92 overtime victory over ratiopharm Ulm. That
added up to a performance index rating of 40, which was not only the
highest of Round 10 but also the second-highest in all of the regular
season, as were his total rebounds. His 13 defensive rebounds were 2
more than any other EuroCup player had in the first phase. The
runner-up in the Round 10 MVP race was Rasid Mahalbasic of EWE Baskets
Oldenburg, who compiled a personal-best PIR of 34 as his team edged
Buducnost VOLI Podgorica 102-99. Mahalbasic tallied 25 points, 8
rebounds, 7 assists and 3 steals in the game. Read more here.
December 17, 2019 - Round 10
In the last round of the 10-game 7DAYS EuroCup
Regular Season, four new qualifiers to the Top 16 will be revealed, as
will the positions in the standings of 13 teams total. How all those
positions pan out, of course, also decides how the four Top 16 groups
of four teams each will look when the survivors return to start playing
that phase on January 8, 2020. All except two of the 12 games over both
Tuesday and Wednesday nights will have some impact on the final
standings, setting the stage for an intriguing finale to the regular
season! Read more here.

Dolomiti Energia Trento, for whom veteran forward Alessandro Gentile
broke several records to earn the MVP of the Week honor for Round 9.
Faced with elimination in the event of a defeat, Gentile led Trento to
a 78-85 road win at Asseco Arka Gdynia with a career-high performance
index rating of 39, which included a personal-best 37 points, 5
rebounds, 2 assists and 9 drawn fouls. His point total was the

November 21, 2019 - Round 8 co-MVPs: Michael Bramos, Tyler Larson
Round
8 of 7DAYS EuroCup Regular Season saw six new teams advance to the Top
16, and when the dust settled, two players who helped their teams get
there – Michael Bramos of Umana Reyer Venice and Tyler Larson of EWE
Baskets Oldenburg – also earned recognition as co-MVPs this week.
Bramos and Larson shared performance index ratings of 28, the highest
among all winning players this round. Bramos paced Reyer to a 73-80
road win at Tofas Bursa that was good for a Top 16 ticket. He scored a
career-high 28 points in his fourth EuroCup season, making 11 of 15

Buducnost VOLI Podgorica, for whom Sammy Mejia and Hassan Martin,

highest performance index ratings of Round 7, with 29 each, as they
pushed their teams to victories to stay alive in the Top 16 race. Mejia
led all scorers this week with 26 points. He added 4 assists, 3

only did ratiopharm Ulm registered its first 7DAYS EuroCup win of the
season on Tuesday, but two of its players – Zoran Dragic and Derek
Willis, each with a performance index rating of 30 – shared the Round 5

and Kelly McCarty were the first to do so, in Top 16 Round 4 of the
2008-09 season. Two years later, also in Top 16 Round 4, Bracey Wright
and Damjan Rudez of Cedevita Zagreb did it. Tyrese Rice and James
Augustine of Khimki earned co-MVP honors in the second leg of the 2015
semifinals. Most recently, Zygimantas Skucas and Ksystof Lavrinovic of
Lietkabelis Panevezys were two of the tri-MVPs in Round 2 of the
