As it was officially announced by the club Brent Wright agreed with Oostande until the end of the season. This will be Wright's second stint with the Belgian club after the 2005-2006 season and he will be replacind Dusan Sakota.

Forward Andrei Kirilenko will stay with CSKA Moscow until the end of the season, it has been confirmed. Kirilenko will join up with his CSKA Moscow team-mates on January 3rd, after failing to agree terms with the NBA teams that he and his party have spoken to.

December 31, 2011 - Goree leaves PAOK
Earlier tonight it was made known that Marcus Goree left Greek club PAOK. The official reason that was leaked by the club is that he had to leave to the US for personal reasons, but the real reason is constant delays in payments, a source told several media outlets.

December 30, 2011 - Repesa back to Cibona's bench
Jasmin Repesa accepted Cibona's proposal and will be returning to the Croatian club for a thrid time in his career. The experienced Croatian coach signed a contract until summer 2014 and this will be the first year in a Croatian club after 9 seasons in Italy.

Aris' players have not been paid in months and decided not to show up in Friday afternoon's practice session. The 2011 edition of the Citta di Roma Tournament saw a new champion celebrate as KK Zagreb CO beat Fenerbache-Ulker 62-52 in the final of the tournament on Thursday night in Rome, Italy. The trophy isn't the only thing Zagreb won but also the first ticket to the 2012 Nike International Junior Tournament that will take place during the Turkish Airlines Euroleague Final Four for the 10th year in a row.

December 29, 2011 - Krka adds Lalic, Lucic & Hansbrough
Krka Novo Mesto will have a fresh look for the Last 16 after signing Jure Lalic, Ben Hansbrough and Uros Lucic. The team has also released three players: Marko Djurkovic, Mustafa Abdul Hamid and Jimmy Baxter. Lalic (2.10 meters, 25 years old) arrives from Cibona, where he averaged 7.5 points in four Eurocup games this season.

December 29, 2011 - Strasbourg announces Ajinca
Strasbourg officially announced the signing of Alexis Ajinca until the end of the season. The 23-year old French center didn't manage to find a contract in the NBA and decided to return to France. Ajinca also played a couple of games for Hyeres-Toulon earlier this season during the lockout averaging 21 points, 10 rebounds and an index rating of 29.

"The fate of 3 million is in the hands of twelve" - that's how the creators of a new documentary about Lithuanian national team chose to present their movie "Game of the Nation". Lithuania will aim to qualify for London Olympics next summer and if they succeed it will be the 6th straight Olympic appearance for the Baltic nation.

December 26, 2011 - Citta Di Roma Tournament
The first event in the10th anniversary season of the Nike International Junior Tournament tips off in Rome, Italy, on Tuesday when eight junior clubs compete to win the Citta di Roma Tournament. The winner will qualify for the NIJT held during the 2012 Turkish Airlines Euroleague Final Four in Istanbul, Turkey, in May.

Cedevita basketball players have beaten Partizan mt:s and deservedly secured another win within 12th round in ABA league. Hosts dictated game tempo from the beginning of the game and won in Zagreb with the score 75:57 (21:12, 20:13, 17:20, 17:14).

December 19, 2011 - Reds' Papadopoulos out 6 weeks
Days after making the Top 16 with its biggest win of the season, Olympiacos announced that starting center Lazaros Papadopoulos will be sidelined until at least after the start of the Top 16 next month. Papadopoulos, 31, underwent left knee surgery on Sunday, three days after he scored 12 points, his season high, in an 86-61 blowout victory over Bennet Cantu that put Olympiacos in the Top 16.

FIBA Europe have awarded Eurobasket 2015 to Ukraine and has also given the women's tournament to Hungary. The board met today in Munich to decide who would host the two events in 2015. Ukraine was an automatic choice for the men's event, following the withdrawal of joint bidders, France/Germany and Italy/Croatia.

A well-known big man making his mark with a Eurocup newcomer has taken the Week 5 MVP honor as Jeremiah Massey put Lokomotiv-Kuban on the brink of Last 16 qualification with a huge home win. BC Khimki strengthened its lineup by signing Mickael Gelabale for the remainder of the season. Gelabale (2.01 meters, 28 years old) has yet to play this season after helping the French national team to the silver medal at EuroBasket 2011. He signed with Belgian champion Belgacom Spirou over the summer, but the deal was terminated due to medical reasons. Last season Gelabale suited up for Asvel Basket in his native France.

Cholet Basket signed swingman Patrick Christopher as a medical replacement for injured forward Roberto Dozier. Benetton Basket added some serious scoring punch by signing swingman Jobey Thomas, who has been a double-digit scorer in the Euroleague. Thomas (1.94 meters, 31 years old) is known as an elite outside shooter and is familiar with the Italian League.

December 9, 2011 - Union Olimpija signs playmaker Mocnik again
Union Olimpija turned to former player Jan Mocnik to bolster its backcourt. Mocnik (1.76 meters, 24 years old) agreed to terms for the remainder of the season. The playmaker returns to Olimpija, where he spent the 2007-08 season and averaged 1.1 points and 1.3 assists as a reserve in 11 Euroleague games and 2.4 points and 1.6 assists in 20 Adriatic League appearances.

Partizan mt:s didn’t used first match ball for going through to Top 16 in Euroleague. Charleroi team won for the first time in their hall with the score 84:79 (13:18, 24:20, 32:23, 15:18).

Last night in Game 8 of Turkish Airlines Euroleague, Anadolu Efes beat EA7 Emporio Armani 84:70 and qualified for top 16 of Turkish Airlines Euroleague. Congratulations to Anadolu Efes, but even more important is that with this win Anadolu Efes helped a lot to Partizan mt:s to come one step closer to top 16 phase.

December 8, 2011 - Motiejunas sets defensive rebounding record
Donatas Motiejunas etched his name in the Euroleague record book on Wednesday by hauling in 18 defensive rebounds in Asseco Prokom Gdynia's 67-52 victory over Union Olimpija Ljubljana. The promising young big man more than doubled his previous rebounding high of 10 as he posted 11 points and 21 boards to lead the Polish champs to their first Turkish Airlines Euroleague win of the season.

The regular season enters its decisive phase with six games Wednesday, as more teams aim for the Top 16. Action starts at 17:15 CET with CSKA Moscow vs. KK Zagreb and ends at 21:00 CET with SLUC Nancy vs. Fenerbahce Ulker. Six more games Thursday.

December 7, 2011 - Sluc Nancy fills roster with veteran Gregory
French champion SLUC Nancy turned to a familiar face by signing Kenny Gregory to shore up its hole at small forward as it tries to advance to the Top 16. Gregory (1.97 meters, 33 years old) has played three Euroleague seasons with three different teams.

December 7, 2011 - Siena calls on Thornton again
In the face of several recent injuries, Montepaschi Siena has reached into its past to bring back classic swingman Bootsy Thornton for a third stint with the club. Thornton (1.95 meters, 34 years old) made the Final Four with Montepasch in two of his previous three seasons with the club, including his first one, 2003-04, and his last, 2007-08.

Dany Freen and Ben Woodside were just the start of the exodus from Union Olimpija. The Slovenian Euroleague team faced new problems on Monday, when Ratko Varda moved to Azovmash. Union Olimpija players may all leave the club since they didn't receive their salaries for months, which is also one of reasons for defeats in recent weeks.

Bennett Cantu has improved its backcourt by inking point guard Nico Gianella until the end of the season, the club announced Monday. Gianella (1.87 meters, 33 years old) arrives from CB Granada, where he played for the last six seasons. He averaged 9.8 points and 2.7 assists in 30 Spanish League games last season.

Euroleague powers FC Barcelona Regal and Real Madrid kept pace with each other atop the Spanish League as both teams advanced to 9-1. Barcelona took care of Gran Canaria 65-49 at home on Sunday afternoon in a game it led from start to finish, while Madrid dispatched Valencia 81-64 at home on Sunday night.

Defending champion Montepaschi Siena survived an All-Euroleague showdown with Bennet Cantu to maintain possession of the top spot in the Italian League. Siena held Cantu to just 8 second-quarter points in building a 40-24 halftime advantage and holding on for a 73-64 victory.

December 4, 2011 - Caja Laboral signs Golubovic at center
Caja Laboral turned to a familiar face to help bolster its frontline by signing center Vladimir Golubovic two a two-month contract – pending a physical. Golubovic (2.12 meters, 25 years old) played briefly for Laboral in the past when he signed a short-term deal in February 2010 to help the club when it faced injury problems.

Maccabi Electra kept its grip on first place in the Adriatic League with a tightly fought road win over Crvena Zvezda 76-83 on Saturday night to remain unbeaten at 9-0. Maccabi went infront 17-25 in the opening quarter, but the hosts battled hard, won the second quarter and tied the fourth to keep things close.

December 4, 2011 - Montepaschi loses Lavrinovic, too
For the second time in a week, Montepaschi Siena has announced that one of its Lithuanian stars, center Ksistof Lavrinovic in this instance, will need surgery that will keep him off the court indefinitely. Lavrinovic (2.12 meters, 32 years old) missed the team's last Turkish Airlines Euroleague game, a victory over Union Olimpija in Slovenia, due to back problems.

December 4, 2011 - Third loss for Partizan mt:s in ABA Adriatic league
In fantastic atmosphere in Moraca hall in Podgorica, Montenegro, Buducnost beat Partizan mts: in Game 10 of ABA Adriatic league. Can’t remember that Moraca hall was so crowded like today. Domestic fans, but at same time a lot of Partizan mt:s fans as well, created fantastic atmosphere in “Game of the week”.

SLUC Nancy and BCM Gravelines remain tied atop the French League table with 8-1 records after respective wins on Saturday. Nancy edged Le Havre 74-72, while Gravelines downed fellow Eurocup side Le Mans 94-76.

December 2, 2011 - Zalgiris brings back Butkevicius
Zalgiris Kaunas announced on Friday the comeback of forward Povilas Butkevicius for the remainder of the season. Butkevicius (2.03 meters, 24 years old) arrives from Rudupis of Lithuania. In the Eurocup, Butkevicius averaged 7.0 points and 6.0 rebounds in over 18 minutes per game during the regular season.

December 2, 2011 - Krka switches coaches, inks guard
In a surprise move announced Friday, KRKA Novo Mesto appointed assistsnt Aleksandar Sekulic head coach of the team, as Nenad Trajkovic stepped down. Trajkovic arrived this summer to the KRKA bench and led the team to a current 2-1 record in Group F, good enough for a temporary second place in the standings.

In fantastic atmosphere in full “Pionir “ hall, leading team in group C in Euroleague laid down their weapons. Partizan mt:s won against Maccabi in seventh round with the score 74:71 and that was theirs 4th win in Europe strongest competition.

December 2, 2011 - Unicaja swingman Darden out 2-3 months
Unicaja with be without swingman Tremmell Darden for some time after the player suffered a broken finger during Wednesday’s Turkish Airlines Euroleague game against Zalgiris in Kaunas, Lithuania. Darden, who has averaged 8.6 points and 3.7 rebounds in this, his debut Euroleague season, injured the finger on his left hand after he fell during the game.
