CSKA Moscow has reached an agreement with coach Jonas Kazlauskas to work together until the end of the 2012-13 season, the club announced Monday. Kazlauskas, age 56, arrives from the Greek National Team, which he coached in each of the last two seasons, taking part in the 2010 World Championships and winning the bronze medal at EuroBasket 2009.

FIBA Europe announced on Wednesday that Hana Horįkova of the Czech Republic is the European Women's Player of the Year for 2010. The award winner was decided by the public and an expert panel vote. Horįkova was second in fan votes, behind Turkey's Nevriye Yilmaz, but won the experts' vote by a comfortable margin ahead of Sandrine Gruda of France.
