The Eurocup Last 16 rushes to its halfway mark on Tuesday with an early slate of eight critical games around the continent. Six teams are currently undefeated, giving them a jump-start toward a possible place in the Quarterfinals, while six others lost their first two games and need to bounce back right away or risk falling out of contention.

Real Madrid and FC Barcelona Regal stayed on track with victories to remain atop the Spanish League. Madrid handily beat Fuenlabrada 57-79 on the road behind decisive first and fourth quarters in which they outscored the hosts 30-50. Jaycee Carroll led all scorers with 12 points, while three other players – Ante Tomic, Felipe Reyes and Kyle Singler – added 10 apiece.

Panathinaikos and Olympiacos posted comfortable victories over Ikaros Kallitheas and Rethimno respectively, and improved their records to 14-1 to remain atop the Greek League standings. The Greens overwhelmed Ikaros 66-95 on the road as Kostas Kaimakoglou and Mike Batiste posted 15 points apiece.

A second-half comeback by Montepaschi Siena came up short as the Italian League leaders fell to Umana Venezia on the road 63-60, but kept hold of first place with a 13-5 record. Of the three teams entering the weekend tied for second, however, only one came up with a victory to take advantage of the loss – Canadian Solar Bologna.

All three Turkish Airlines Euroleague teams in the Turkish Leagues won over the weekend, with Anadolu Efes and Galatasaray Medical Park remaining locked in the top two spots in the standings. Efes improved to 14-2 by ripping Erdemir in a one-sided contest 82-53.

Zalgiris remained in pole position in the Lithuanian League after back-to-back wins over the weekend to remain unbeaten through 11 games. Head coach Aleksandar Trifunovic's men were made to sweat in a 76-74 victory over third-placed Rudupis on Sunday, but the day before they coasted to a 97-71 rout of Sakalai.

January 28, 2012 - James, Wade lead Heat over Knicks, 99-89
The New York Knicks, they were all about the 3's. The Miami Heat, they welcomed back No. 3. LeBron James scored 31 points, Dwyane Wade—he of that No. 3 jersey— scored 28 in his return from a sprained right ankle, and the Heat topped the 3-point-obsessed Knicks 99-89 on Friday night.

January 28, 2012 - Thunder top Warriors 120-109 to start road trip
Kevin Durant stood in the Oklahoma City Thunder’s locker room buttoning up a blue-knit sweater atop his beige corduroy pants. Two spots over, Russell Westbrook sat in a chair with his shirt off and ice under his left leg, poking fun at Duran'’s outfit. Then both took turns teasing teammate James Harden for his sparkling, spiked black shoes.

January 27, 2012 - Lima gets Spanish citizenship
Unicaja Malaga's Brazilian forward Augusto Lima received Spanish citizenship. "I feel very good and I am very happy to be a Spanish citizen" said Lima. The 20-year old has been with Unicaja Malaga since 2007 when he was transfered from Sao Paulo.

The International Basketball Federation (FIBA) on Thursday officially launched the 2014 edition of its flagship tournament by revealing its brand new name, the FIBA Basketball World Cup, at a special event in the Spanish capital.

January 27, 2012 - Valencia Basket hands reins to Perasovic
Valencia Basket reached an agreement with head coach Velimir Perasovic to join the team for the remainder of the season, the club announced Thursday. Perasovic, 46, is expected to arrive in Valencia on Saturday and his first game on the bench will be next week at CEZ Nymburk.

Board ABA (Adriatic Basketball Association) and ABA president Radovan Lorbek accepted a unanimous decision that the 2012 ABA League Final Four Tournament will be organized by Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv. The decision was made at the meeting held in Ljubljana on Thursday.

January 26, 2012 - Milano announce Bremer
EA7 Milano officially announced the signing of JR Bremer until the end of the season. 31-year old Bremer comes from Nizhny Novgorod where he averaged 15.9 points and 4.9 assists in the Eurochallenge and 11.5 points, 5.2 assists in the Russian league.

January 26, 2012 - Galatasaray - Songaila part ways
Galatasaray decided to release Darius Songaila. The 33-year old Lithuanian forward didn't play up to the expectations as he averaged 6.5 points and 2.8 rebounds for an index rating of 3.3 in the Euroleague.

January 26, 2012 - Spartak Primorye announced Denison
Sean Denison agreed with Spartak Primorye until the end of the season as it was officially announced by the club. 26-year old, 211cm-tall Denison played for Eisbaeren Bremerhaven last season. In 36 games he had 8.2 points and 4.3 rebounds in average.

January 26, 2012 - Olympiacos, Howard part ways
Olympiacos Piraeus released rookie forward Matt Howard, the club announced Wednesday. The move was expected following the addition of big man Joey Dorsey. Howard played only 19 minutes and scored 2 points in three Turkish Airlines Euroleague regular season games.

January 25, 2012 - Hemofarm to be dismantled
All professional players are free to leave the club and look for a new team according to reports from Serbia. Reason? The bad financial situation in the club. Moreover Hemofarm will cease being the main sponsor of the team, so the club is on the verge of extinction.

January 25, 2012 - Lucas parts ways with Olympiacos, agrees with Banvit
Kalin Lucas parted ways with Olympiacos Tuesday, but it didn't take him long to find a new team. Lucas agreed to continue his career in Turkey and Banvit. Banvit currently occupies the third place in the Turkish league, behind Anadolu Efes and Galatasaray.

January 23, 2012 - Greek League, Regular Season, Game 15
Olympiacos escaped from Aghios Thomas with a difficult victory, 84-89, over still winless Maroussi. Vassilis Spanoulis recorded 16 points and 8 assists as the Reds improved to 13-1 to remain atop the Greek League standings along with Panathinaikos, which thrashed Drama 101-72 behind 21 points from David Logan.

Anadolu Efes and Galatasaray Medical Park warmed up for the Turkish Airlines Euroleague Top 16 with big wins to remain in the top two spots in the Turkish League, but defending champion Fenerbahce Ulker slipped down to fifth place after losing at Tofas.

FC Barcelona Regal and Real Madrid both won to continue on top of the Spanish League, while two of their three nearest rivals lost, giving the leaders a little breathing room. Barcelona was pushed to the brink by CAI Zaragoza, but pulled out the victory at home 71-68, thanks to clutch free throws by Juan Carlos Navarro, who returned after a month-long injury.

The only one team from Bosnia and Herzegovina in ABA Adriatic league, Siroki, won against Cibona Zagreb in great game at front of 4.500 supporters in Pecara sport hall. With this win, Siroki improved their score to very good 9 wins and 7 losses. They also came closer to final 4 possibilities even there are still many games to be played.

January 22, 2012 - Maccabi wins this one in Pionir
BC Partizan mt:s played fourth game of the season against Maccabi. Team from Tel Aviv won in another ABA league encounter 78:84 (24:17, 24:31, 15:22, 15:14). Game started with a three point shoot from Bertrans, while guests mostly used Schortsanitis on offense 3:2.

January 22, 2012 - Bilbao announces Samb, sends Hampl to LEB Oro
Bilbao announced the signing of 22-year old Mamadou Samb. The 208cm-tall Spanish center of Senegalese origin was playing with Granada in the LEB Oro, averaging 10.9 points and 4.7 rebounds. He signed a contract until the end of the season with an option to extend.

January 21, 2012 - Howard’s big night carries Magic past Lakers 92-80
If Orlando center Dwight Howard is eventually traded to the Los Angeles Lakers before season’s end, he will be joining a team the Magic continue to dominate at the Amway Center. Playing their fourth game in five nights, the Magic’s energy wasn’t always great Friday night, but they came alive when it counted in a 92-80 win over the Lakers - Orlando’s sixth victory in the last nine regular-season meetings between the two.

Marko Popovic was released by Murcia of Spain upon the completion of his 1-month contract, but it didn't take him long to find a new team. Popovic will be moving to Zlatorog who competes in the Adriatic League until the end of the season.

January 19, 2012 - Lofton on trial with Estudiantes
Estudiantes decided to take on trial US American point guard Chris Lofton. The club from the Spanish capital had already agreed with Lofton during the summer, but the player failed to pass the medical exams so the deal didn't come through.

January 19, 2012 - Eurocup Last 16, Game 1 MVP: Patrick Beverley
The best Eurocup game yet for blossoming guard Patrick Beverley has garnered the Spartak St. Petersburg star attention throughout the continent as he has earned Last 16, Game 1 MVP honors. Anadolu Efes improved its roster on the eve of the Turkish Airlines Euroleague Top 16 by inking combo guard Oliver Lafayette for the remainder of the season, the club announced Tuesday. Lafayette (1.88 meters, 27 years old) arrives from Asseco Prokom, where he averaged 10.7 points, 2.5 rebounds and 3.3 assists in 10 Euroleague games off the bench this season.

Cholet agreed terms with Kevin Houston accorting to reports from France. 26-year old point guard Houston has played in France before with Saint Etienne, Rouen and Hyeres-Toulon.

The 2011-12 Turkish Airlines Euroleague season returns with the Top 16, which will feature a six-game, round-robin competition for the last time. The Top 16 Draw divided all 16 surviving teams into 4 groups. As always, only the best two squads in each group will advance to the Turkish Airlines Euroleague Playoffs.

VEF Riga improved its roster hours before the start of the Top 16 by inking point guard Maurice Bailey and forward Brandon Bowdry, the club announced Monday. Both players signed for the remainder of the season. Bowdry (1.98 meters, 23 years old) arrives from Pinar Karsiyaka, where he averaged 4.4 points in 8 Turkish League games this season.

Yes, we are at the halfway stage of  TBL 2011-2012 and it was not bad at all. In terms of competitiveness and quality, of course still cannot compete with ACB but signs of improvement were not absent. Savovic (2.06 meters, 24 years old) arrives from boyhood club Hemofarm Stada, where he has spent the vast majority of his career to date.

Maccabi Electra warmed up for the Turkish Airlines Euroleague Top 16 by winning the first of its two games this weekend in overtime, 85-91 on the road against Cibona Zagreb in the Adriatic League.

Within sixteenth round in Adriatic league Partizan mt:s players played in Kragujevac. Radnicki team got to the lead in the middle of second quarter and they kept it until the end. They won with the score 92:80 (23:24, 28:20, 15:17, 26:19).

The Denver Nuggets pressed the pace and then turned it up a notch in the fourth quarter. And the Miami Heat couldn’t keep up, especially once Dwyane Wade was injured. Ty Lawson scored 24 points in his return to the lineup, and the Nuggets sent the Heat to their third straight loss with a 117-104 victory on Friday night.

January 14, 2012 - Rose scores 25 on return, Bulls top Celtics 88-79
The Chicago Bulls let a 20-point lead drop to one before Derrick Rose decided to take control, sore toe and all. The NBA’s reigning MVP knew he had to make the shot after Paul Pierce missed a jumper that would have given the Boston Celtics their first lead.

Cedevita Zagreb closed the gap from first place Maccabi Electra to just two wins by blasting Union Olimpija 93-75 on Wednesday in the Adriatic League. Partizan mt:s also won to remain one game back, but Buducnost Voli lost to slip to fourth place.

January 13, 2012 - Olympiacos announced Law!
In a quick turn of events, Olympiacos agreed with Acie Law (obviously with Partizan as well) and officially announced the player. Law had 12.7 points, 2.1 rebounds and 3.4 assists with Partizan in the Euroleague before leaving for the US and never returning to the Serbian capital.

January 13, 2012 - Olimpija tab Jeretin
Goran Jeretin was released by Artland Dragons just a few days ago and he will continue his career with Union Olimpija until the end of the season. Jeretin will be the second Montenegrin in Olimpija's roster after the Slovenian team added Vladimir Dasic last week

Enisey Krasnoyarsk decided to cut Hukic in the frame of Dusan Skaota's arrival. The 32-year old Bosnian forward was averaging 4.8 points and 3.2 rebounds in the Russian league.

Unicaja lost star big man Joel Freeland for at least the first two games of the Turkish Airlines Euroleague Top 16 on Thursday with a badly sprained right ankle. Freeland hurt himself during the team's morning practice on Thursday and was brought to a local hospital.

January 12, 2012 - Bennet Cantu brings Brunner to frontline
Bennet Cantu filled a hole in its frontline by signing power forward Greg Brunner for the remainder of the season. He steps into the shoes of Marko Scekic, who is sidelined with a knee injury. Brunner (2.01 meters, 28 years old) arrives from fellow Italian League side Fabi Shoes Montegranaro, for whom his last game came against Cantu on Wednesday.

January 12, 2012 - Turkish Airlines Euroleague competition system for 2012-13 season
Euroleague Basketball has unveiled a new Turkish Airlines Euroleague competition system that will be implemented starting with the 2012-13 season. As in the current format, the new one will consist of five phases: the Turkish Airlines Euroleague Qualifying Round, the Turkish Airlines Euroleague Regular Season, the Turkish Airlines Euroleague Top 16, the Turkish Airlines Euroleague Playoffs and the Turkish Airlines Euroleague Final Four.

In a rare occurrence, the three Euroleague teams in Italy all lost on Wednesday. Canadian Solar Bologna moved into a tie for second place by beating leader and defending champ Montepaschi Siena. EA7 Emporio Armani Milan failed to take advantage when it fell in the closing seconds at home to Benetton Treviso.

January 12, 2012 - Greek League, Regular Season, Game 13
Stratos Perperoglou netted 18 points in leading Panathinaikos to a 71-81 road victory over Kolossos Rhodes to remain tied atop the Greek League standings with Olympiacos, which survived a thriller at home versus Ilissiakos 77-73 behind 20 points from Giorgos Printezis.

January 11, 2012 - Valencia adds Aussie swingman Newley
Valencia Basket added experienced swingman Brad Newley for the rest of the season, the club announced Wednesday. Newley (2.00 meters, 26 years old) arrives from fellow Eurocup side Lietuvos Rytas Vilnius, but has not played in the Eurocup yet this season due to injuries.

January 11, 2012 - Enisey added Chase
Enisey Krasnoyarsk announced the agreement with Brian Chase until the end of the season. Chase comes in as a replacement for Afik Nissim who left for Krka Novo Mesto.

January 11, 2012 - Meneghin to step down
Dino Meneghin, President of the Italian Basketball Federation (FIP), stated that he plans to step down upon the completion of his mandate. "I will definitely leave, but not for the reasons mentioned lately. I have to evaluate if I can dedicate my time to being full-time President.

January 11, 2012 - Estudiantes officializes Wright's departure
Estudiantes and Antoine Wright officially parted ways as it was announced by the club. Estudiantes had suspended Wright for disciplinary reasons a couple of weeks ago and now both parts agreed to terminate the contract that was binding them until the end of the season.

January 11, 2012 - Olympiacos confirm Dorsey
After parting ways with Caja Laboral, Joey Dorsey quickly agreed to continue with Olympiacos until the end of the season. 203cm tall Dorsey started the season with Caja Laboral and averaged 2 points and 2.7 rebounds in 6 Euroleague games.

January 11, 2012 - Buducnost Voli inks shooter Bouldin
Buducnost Voli signed shouting guard Matt Bouldin for the remainder of the season. Bouldin (1.96 meters, 23 years old) is an elite shooter who was a star during his college basketball days at Gonzaga University. He was named the West Coast Conference Player of the Year after his senior season in 2010.

Antalya agreed with 24-year old American guard Scottie Reynolds who was recently cut by the Utah Jazz. This is the second stint for Reynolds in Europe as he has already played for Prima Veroli in Italy in 2010, posting 12.3 points and 2.5 assists in average.

January 10, 2012 - Sakota moves to Russia
Dusan Sakota will continue his career in Russia and Enisey, after parting ways with Telenet Oostende. The 25-year old Serbian with Greek passport will find another ex-Panathinaikos player in Enisey, namely Lonnie Baxter.

January 10, 2012 - Dnipro announces two
Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk officially announced the deals with Qyntel Woods and Jerome Moiso. Qyntel Woods recently parted ways with Maccabi Haifa. In the Israeli league he had 5.8 points and 2.1 rebounds in average.

January 10, 2012 - Badiane leaves Nancy
Moussa Badiane saw very limited playing time in Nancy and decided to part ways with the club and return to the French Pro B. Badiane saw mere 5' of playing time in the French league and 7' in the Euroleague where he had 3.4 points and 1.6 rebounds in average.

January 9, 2012 - Krka nabs Nissim at guard
Krka Novo Mesto finalized its roster for the Eurocup Last 16 by signing veteran guard Afik Nissim for the remainder of the season. Nissim (1.80 meters, 30 years old) arrives from Russian side Enisey, for whom he averaged 7 points and 4.5 assists in the FIBA EuroChallenge and 7.1 points and 2.9 assists in the Russian League this season.

January 9, 2012 - Spanish League, Regular Season, Game 15
FC Barcelona Regal, Real Madrid and Caja Laboral all won to remain tied for the top spot in the Spanish League, while Lucentum Alicante and Unicaja dropped back after losing. Barca routed Alicante 65-49 behind 13 points from Marcelinho Huertas and 12 from Erazem Lorbek to improve to 12-3.

January 9, 2012 - German League, Regular Season, Game 17
Brose Baskets Bamberg remained in control in the German League after seeing off FC Bayern Munich 89-77 on Saturday. P.J. Tucker scored 23 and Casey Jacobsen added 18 points and 6 assists for the defending champs, who improved to 15-2 with the win.

Anadolu Efes held on to beat arch rival Fenerbahce Ulker 83-90 to solidify its grip on first place in the Turkish League. Kerem Tunceri scored 19 points and dished 6 assists for the visitors, who improved to 12-2 and dropped the defending champs to 10-4.

Maccabi Electra won twice in three days to climb to 14-1 in the Adriatic League. The Israeli champs blasted Zaltorog Lasko 87-51 at home on Thursday behind wily veteran Theo Papaloukas, who amassed 13 points, 6 assists and 5 steals.

For the second time in this season Partizan mt:s basketball players had a chance to host a team in "Hala sportova" on Novi Beograd. Black and whites were successful again and they won against Zagreb with the score 94:85.

January 8, 2012 - Panionios agrees with Boisa
In the frame of Nikos Barlos injury, Panionios were looking for a replacement and according to reports from Greece they found it in Vladimir Boisa. The 30-year old Georgian already has experience from the Greek league as he competed for Aris in 2007-2008, averaging 3.4 points and 2.2 rebounds in the Euroleague.

Zalgiris remained unbeaten in the Lithuanian League on Saturday by beating arch rival Lietuvos Rytas 72-82 on the road. Paulius Jankunas scored 18 points and grabbed 9 rebounds for the defending champs, who improved to 9-0 this season. Rytas dropped to 11-2.

BC Khimki finally announced the deal with Mickael Gelabale, despites denying an agreement a couple of weeks ago. "BC Khimki leaders and coaching staff decided to sign a new contract with French basketball player Mickael Gelabale.

Boban Marjanovic leaves Russia and goes back to Serbia to play for Radnicki. The 23-year old Serbian center (221cm), started the season with Nizhny Novgorod, where he averaged 3.5 points and 4 rebounds in the VTB United League.

January 7, 2012 - Valanciunas Lithuanian Basketball Player of the Year
Valanciunas was voted Lithuanian Basketball Player of the Year, topping Rimas Kaukenas and Donatas Motiejunas via the general public. The 19-year old center gathered 31.9% of the votes and he was followed by Rimas Kaukenas who gathered 19.9%. Donatas Motiejunas came in third with 14.3.

January 7, 2012 - Anthony’s 3 helps Knicks keep Wizards winless
Carmelo Anthony shook off the pain in his sore right hip long enough to keep the Washington Wizards winless. Anthony made the go-ahead 3-pointer with 15 seconds left as the New York Knicks avoided a late collapse to beat the Wizards 99-96 on Friday night.

January 7, 2012 - Late spurt lifts Rose and Bulls over Magic, 97-83
At times last season the Chicago Bulls were guilty of leaning on MVP point guard Derrick Rose too much to help them pull out wins in close games. If the way they closed out Friday night’s 97-83 victory over Orlando is any indication, coach Tom Thibodeau’s team is well on the way to fixing that problem.

January 6, 2012 - Lietuvos Rytas is L'Hospitalet champ!
The second team to qualify for the Nike International Junior Tournament finals during Euroleague Final Four weekend in Istanbul is Lietuvos Rytas, which Friday beat FC Barcelona Regal 68-72 to win the  Ciutat de L'Hospitalet title. Augustinas Jankaitis led the way with 21 points and was named tourney MVP.

January 6, 2012 - Jasaitis out for two months
Simas Jasaitis will be sidelined for about two months after undergoing surgery on his knee. The 29-year old Lithuanian forward plays for Turk Telekom this season, averaging 9.9 points, 3.9 rebounds and 1 assist in the Turkish league.

FC Barcelona Regal and Lietuvos Rytas will battle to win the 33rd edition of the Ciutat de L'Hospitalet tournament! Barcelona topped FIATC Joventut Badalona 59-73 in the first semifinal behind 26 points from Josep Perez. Aleksandr Zhugulin added 17 for Barcelona.

January 5, 2012 - Unicaja released Tripkovic
Unicaja announced Thursday that it has released shooting guard Uros Tripkovic, who has yet to play this season due to injury. Tripkovic, 25, averaged 8.1 points in 15 Euroleague games last season. He had been under contract through the end of the current season.

January 5, 2012 - Benetton Basket brings Goree back
Benetton Basket turned to the past to upgrade its frontcourt by signing Marcus Goree. Who enjoyed three of his finest seasons with the club between 2004 and 2007. Goree (2.03 meters, 34 years old) arrives from PAOK Thessaloniki, for whom he averaged 14.2 points and 4.6 rebounds in five Eurocup games and 12.1 points and 7.1 rebounds in 10 Greek League games this season.

January 5, 2012 - Ljubljana tabs Dasic, Rizvic goes to Buducnost
Vladimir Dasic agreed to continue his career in Ljubljana in Union Olimpija until the end of the season. The 23-year old Montenegrin forward was recently released by Roma.

January 5, 2012 - Maciulis back to action
Jonas Maciulis overcame the injury he suffered last spring and is ready to get back to action. The 26-year old Lithuanian forward is currently a free agent and looking for a club.

January 5, 2012 - Buducnost Voli adds size with Rizvic
KK Buducnost Voli bolstered its frontcourt before the upcoming Eurocup Last 16 by inking center Hasan Rizvic for the remainder of the season, the club announced Thursday. Rizvic (2.10 meters, 27 years old) arrives from Azovmash, where he averaged 6.5 points and 6.2 rebounds in 6 Eurocup games this season.

January 5, 2012 - Davis Bertans in black and white jersey!
Bertans was born in the 1992nd in Valmiera. Through ASK Riga and Barons he came to Olympia, and he was selected as 42nd pick on previous NBA Draft by Indiana, who traded him right away, now he is San Antonio player. This season he played 10 games in Olympia in Euroleague.

Defending Czech League champ CEZ Nymburk pulled away early en route to a resounding 59-91 road win over SLUNETA Usti nad Labem on Wednesday. Drew Naymick collected 17 points and 10 rebounds as Nymburk improved its record to 20-1 with its 19th straight league victory.

January 4, 2012 - Unicaja released Blanco
Unicaja announced Wednesday that it has terminated the contract of swingman Saul Blanco effective immediately. Blanco, 26, played in seven Turkish Airlines Euroleague games this season in which he averaged 2.9 points.

January 3, 2012 - Ivanovic Coach of the Month for December
Dusko Ivanovic was voted Coach of the Month for December by the Association of Spanish Basketball Coaches. Ivanovic led his team, Caja Laboral, to a perfect 4-0 record in the ACB during December.

January 3, 2012 - Turiaf sidelined 5-6 weeks
The Washington Wizzards announced through their Twitter account that Ronny Turiaf suffered a broken left hand on Sundays loss to the Celtics. It is the same injury that kept Turiaf out of the French NT last summer and it is expected to keep him out for about 5-6 weeks.

Former Golden State Warriors point guard, Charlie Bell has agreed to sign with Italian club Otto Caserta. 32-year old Bell played 19 games for Golden State last season, averaging 1.7 points. Caserta will be the fourth Italian club in Bell's career after Benetton Treviso, Virtus Bologna and Livorno.

January 2, 2012 - Eurocup Last 16 groups breakdown, Group J
Three traditional teams in continental competitions and one of the fastest-growing teams in recent years meet in Group J, in what promises to be a tough battle to make it to the playoffs. No team will be more motivated than still-undefeated BC Khimki, as the Eurocup Finals take place in its own arena.

The second go-through of the Israeli League regular season began Sunday night with Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv collecting another win, 102-61 over Gilboa/Galil at Nokia Arena. The result opened a three-win gap between Maccabi and second place, which is still occupied by Galil.

January 1, 2012 - Kaloyan Ivanov ACB December MVP
The 25-year old Bulgarian Kaloyan Ivanov of Lucentum Alicante was voted December MVP for the ACB, the final award for 2011. Ivanov averaged an 26.5 index rating points behind 13.2 points and 13 rebounds leading his team to a perfect 4-0 record during December. Alicante is currently standing 5th in the ACB with a 10-3 record.

January 1, 2012 - Spartans vs Trojans in Athens?
Michigan State's Athletic Director, Mark Hollis' latest set of ideas, after having a college basketball game played on the deck of an aircraft carrier last month, includes having a game between the Michigan State Spartans and the USC Trojans played in Kallimarmaro Stadium, Athens.
