Regular Season, Week 3
The
2010-11 Eurocup will meet its midway point on Tuesday with 16 contests
in 12 countries across Europe. Some of the main highlights feature
three clashes between undefeated teams for the top spot in their
groups.

Laboral coach, Dusko Ivanovic gained the Coach of the Month award for
the month November in the ACB. Stanko Barac was awarded November MVP.
November 30, 2010 - Judge orders Goettingen-Besiktas replay
The
Eurocup's independent disciplinary judge has ordered a full replay of
the BG Goettingen vs. Besiktas JK Cola Turka game from the second week
of the competition's regular season.
November 30, 2010 - Unicaja adds rookie Baptist
Unicaja
fortified its roster with the signing of rookie swingman Billy Baptist,
who had been on trial with the team for several weeks. Baptist (196,
23) played college basketball at Quincy University.

Iraklis
announced the signing of Nikola Koprivica, one of the best players of
his former club, Superfund Beograd. The 22-year old Serbian guard will
be immediately incorporated into his new club.

Moscow announced on Thursday that Dusko Vujosevic has resigned as the
team's head coach. Assistant Dmitriy Shakulin will take over on an
interim basis. Also leaving with Vujosevic are assistant coach Saso

Jeans Milano took a critical step forwards to reach the Top 16 in
Turkish Airlines Euroleague Group D by edging CSKA Moscow 71-65 at home
on Wednesday. Milano improved to 3-3 in Group D and registered its
second win against CSKA, that dropped to 1-5 and needs a major
turnaround to make it to the Top 16.
November 25, 2010 - Eurocup Week 2 MVP: Christos Tapoutos, Aris BSA 2003
An
outstanding performance in a winning effort was required for Christos
Tapoutos of Aris BSA to become the Week 2 MVP in a close race for the
honor. Tapoutos shined in his team's home win against Hapoel
Gilboa/Galil with 25 points, making 9-of-12 two-point shots and 2-of-2
triples.
November 24, 2010 - Halperin replaces Erceg in A1

have decided to replace Zoran Erceg with Yotam Halperin in their
domestic Greek A1 games. Olympiacos has got more foreigner players than
allowed in Greece A1 (6), so at the start of the season Yotam Halperin
was left out of the squad.

necessary to initiate the official protest filed by Besiktas JK Cola
Turka following its Group B game in the Eurocup on Tuesday.

November 23, 2010 - Krasnye Krylia hires Eremin as coach
Krasnye
Krylia named Stanislav Eremin as its new head coach on Monday after the
sides agreed to terms for this season with an option for 2011-12.
Eremin, 59, has extensive experience with the top clubs and the Russian
national team as both a player and coach.
November 22, 2010 - Cajasol retools with Popovic at point

Sevilla moved to retool its backcourt following an injury to starter
Earl Calloway by signing veteran playmaker Bojan Popovic. The sides
agreed to terms on a three-month deal with an option to extend it for
the rest of the season.

Electra announced on Wednesday that it has agreed to send center Jeff
Foote on loan to Spanish second division team Club Melilla Baloncesto.
Foote signed a multi-year deal with Maccabi this summer after finishing
his college basketball career at Cornell University, but did not fit
into head coach David Blatt's plans this season.

regular season Group A by edging Asseco Prokom Gdynia 62-69 in Poland

rough start to the Turkish Airlines Euroleague season got rougher for
Unicaja with the announcement Monday that point guard Terrell McIntyre,
a two-time All-Euroleague selection, will be out of action at least
three weeks with a foot injury.

Any
doubts that Allen Iverson had second thought about his move to
Besiktas, after missing his flight on Friday, are gone as the former
NBA super-star arrived to Istanbul this morning and was welcomed by
hordes of passionate Besiktas fans.

BC signed former player Markos Kolokas, who played with the team last
season, over the weekend. The veteran forward averaged 3.3 points and
1.7 rebounds in three Eurocup games and 2 points and 1.8 boards in the
Greek League for Panellinios.

Stada sits alone atop the Adriatic League standings after beating Union
Olimpija 84-74 in a top-of-the table clash. Milan Macvan scored 24
points and grabbed 8 rebounds and Bojan Krstovic added 19 for Hemofarm,
which improved to 5-1 and dropped Olimpija into a three-way tie for
second.

decades in Euroleague coming off a 0-3 record and the players decided
to address the fans via letter to ask for their understanding and
support.

BC have announced the signing of Milos Vujanic until the end of current
season. The former 2003 Euroleague Top Scorer was expecting a better
offer to come up but after all teams closing their rosters he settled
for Panionios.

Electra led from start to finish en route to a convincing 54-67 road
win over Partizan mt:s at Pionir Arena in the Serbian capital on
Thursday. Maccabi started the game with a 2-18 charge and the hosts
never seriously threatened the rest of the way.

Siena remained undefeated after three games in the Turkish Airlines
Euroleague regular season thanks to another win, this time at home,
againt Cibona by 80-57 in a Group C game played Wednesday.

Electronics Valencia registered its first Turkish Airlines Euroleague
win in more than six years and sent a message that echoed all around
Group D by downing Russian powerhouse CSKA Moscow 82-57 at home on
Wednesday. Valencia moved up to 1-2 and improved its chances to make it
to the Top 16.
November 2, 2010 - Caja Laboral locks up Barac 'till
2015

Laboral made sure to keep its best inside player for a long time by
announcing Tuesday that center Stanko Barac signed a three-year
contract extension that will keep him in Vitoria through 2015. Barac
(2.17, 24) was already under contract through 2012.
November 2, 2010 - Azovmash tabs veteran Owens

Azovmash Mariupol added a familiar face at forward with the signing of
veteran Chris Owens. The well-traveled Owens (203, 31) returns to
Ukraine after playing for BC Donetsk last season. He arrives from
French club Gravelines-Dunkerque, for whom he averaged 8.3 points and
4.8 rebounds over 16 minutes in four games this season.

has been seven years since Union Olimpija started a Euroleague season
with two victories and the same amount of time since the pride of
Ljubljana reached the Top 16. Basketball fever never left the Slovenian

ever, with the new 13,000-seat Stozice Arena sold out a week in advance
of Olimpija's showdown Thursday with Panathinaikos for first place in
Group D of the Turkish Airlines Euroleague Regular Season.
November 1, 2010 - CSKA's Kaun to undergo surgery, out
3 months
CSKA
Moscow center Sasha Kaun is scheduled to undergo knee surgery in the
United States this week, which will sideline him for three months.
Kaun, 25, has not played in the Euroleague this season, though he did
take part in the team’s Euroleague American Tour.
