October 31, 2011 - Zalgiris tabs Trifunovic for bench
A proven Turkish Airlines Euroleague winner, Aleksandar Trifunovic, is the choice of Zalgiris Kaunas to try to turn things around after two losses to start the regular season. Club and coach signed a deal until the end of the current season. Zalgiris becomes the third Euroleague team coached by Trifunovic, 44, who spent two years with Zalgiris rival Lietuvos Rytas, making the Top 16 both times.

On the heels of a disappointing 2010-11 Turkish Airlines Euroleague season, it took CSKA Moscow just two games to prove to everyone that the team is back on track to fight for its seventh continental title already this season. October 5, 2011 - Asseco Prokom inks Lafayette
Perennial Polish League champion Asseco Prokom Gdynia improved its backcourt for the upcoming Turkish Airlines Euroleague season by inking playmaker Oliver Lafayette to a one-year deal, the club announced Wednesday. Lafayette (1.84 meters, 27 years old) arrives from Maccabi Ashdod, where he averaged 10.5 points and 2.9 assists in 11 Israeli League games last season.

October 5, 2011 - Asvel Basket lands Tony Parker
A long-heard rumor came true on Wednesday when Asvel announces the arrival of point guard Tony Parker, also its general director of basketball operations. Parker (1.83 meters, 29 years old) arrives from San Antonio of the NBA, where he has played in each of the last 10 seasons.

Spartak beat Etha Engomis behind Patrick Beverley's 26 points to sweep that series. Azovmash topped Ventspils 79-65 as Ricky Minard poured in 24 for the aggregate win.

October 4, 2011 - Maccabi dominant in the opening games of ABA League
The ABA League officially started with two games played in Slovenia on Saturday and Monday with Maccabi being the main protagonist. The Israelian champ was too strong for both Slovenian teams, first it defeated Krka on Friday and than Zlatorog on Monday.

October 4, 2011 - CSKA Moscow brings back Kirilenko
Forward Andrei Kirilenko (30 years old, 2.06 meters) will wear CSKA Moscow uniform again after a 10-year American stint and will also make his Turkish Airlines Euroleague debut. The contract with Kirilenko, a 2011 Eurobasket All-Tournament team member, is signed for three years with an NBA return option.

October 4, 2011 - Unics lands Lynn Greer
In further efforts to build a competitive team for its Turkish Airlines Euroleague debut season, Eurocup reigning champs Unics Kazan added point guard Lynn Greer to the team. Greer (1.88 meters, 31 years old) arrives from Fenerbahce Ulker of Turkey where last season he averaged 5.0 points, 1.2 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 10 Turkish Airlines Euroleague appearances.

Another season is approaching. Black and whites are starting Adriatic league on eight October on away court, while the first game in Pionir is on 11th October. Ahead of another season BC Partizan mt:s will present players that will defend club from Humska colors on a special event.

A draw to determine the groups that will make up the Regular Season groups for the 2011-12 Eurocup will be held on Tuesday, October 11 at the Museu Olímpic i de l'Esport in Barcelona at 13:00 local time. The list of teams that will make up the 2011-12 Eurocup Regular Season is all but complete.

October 2, 2011 - Spirou routed CEZ Nymburk 79-53
Belgacom Spirou Basket established itself as the king of qualifying for the second year in a row by routing CEZ Nymburk 79-53 at the Spiroudome in Charleroi, Belgium, to advance to the Turkish Airlines Euroleague Regular Season. The Belgian champs pulled away in the second quarter to take a 34-21 halftime lead and never looked back as the margin crossed the 30-point mark in the fourth quarter.

October 2, 2011 - Galatasaray advanced to the Turkish Airlines Euroleague Regular Season
Galatasaray overcame Lietuvos Rytas 63-71 at Siemens Arena in Vilnius, Lithuania, to advance to the Turkish Airlines Euroleague Regular Season for the first time in club history. Galatasaray trailed early, but used a 2-13 run to take a 28-30 halftime lead and continued to add to it throughout the second half.

October 1, 2011 - KK Zagreb signs center May
KK Zagreb bolstered its frontcourt by signing big man Sean May, who made his Turkish Airlines Euroleague debut last season with Fenerbahce Ulker. May (2.06 meters, 27 years old) averaged 4.3 points and 2.8 rebounds off the bench in eight Euroleague games last season.

October 1, 2011 - Two Nations Cup features Turkish Airlines Euroleague powers
The Two Nations Cup Basketball 2011 arena, Abdi Ipekci Sports Hall, hosted the teams' press conference on Friday as head coaches and players from the two top clubs from Greece and Turkey gathered to speak about the event. Anadolu Efes was represented by Ufuk Sarica and Kerem Tunceri, Fenerbahce Ulker by Neven Spahija and Gaspar Vidmar, Olympiacos by Dusan Ivkovic and Vassilis Spanoulis, and Panathinaikos by Zeljko Obradovic.

October 1, 2011 - Lokomotiv-Kuban lands guard Uzoh
PBC Lokomotiv-Kuban loaded its backcourt by signing Ben Uzoh. The guard had started the preseason with Italian club Fabi Shoes Montegranaro, but after a short time together the sides decided to part ways. Uzoh (1.91 meters, 23 years old) played his first professional season with New Jersey of the NBA last year, during which he averaged 3.8 points and 1.6 assists over 42 games.
