Turkish Airlines Euroleague powers Zalgiris and Lietuvos Rytas Vilnius opened the Lithuanian League season with solid victories last week. The defending champs from Zalgiris blasted Palanga on the road, 59-101, behind 18 points each from Mindaugas Kuzminskas and Mario Delas.

September 30, 2012 - ABA Adriatic League, Regular Season, Game 1
Turkish Airlines Euroleague clubs Partizan mt:s Belgrade, Union Olimpija Ljubljana and Cedevita Zagreb ran the board with opening-game wins in the Adriatic League this week. Partizan saw Danilo Andjusic, Dejan Musli and Torey Thomas score 12 points apiece to save a tough home victory 81-74 over Zadar.

The Board of FIBA Europe has approved the Celje Arena l in Celje and Hala Tivoli in Ljubljana as the two alternative First Round venues for EuroBasket 2013 in Slovenia. The two venues will replace Novo Mesto and Ptuj sports halls which withdrew from hosting the tournament.

Asseco Prokom Gdynia further strengthened its frontcourt with the addition of center Rasid Mahalbasic for the coming season.
