In the third week
of our preparation our practices lasted for 2 hours. For this week I
prepared two different practices and we repeated them in the sequence
of every second day. One of the practices started at the athletic
stadium. We started up with a warm up and continued with endurance run,
sprints and some exercise for abdominal and spinal muscles. This part
lasted for approximately 60 minutes, depending on the number of series.
After this part we did some stretching and afterward we went to the gym
where we spent the next 60 minutes with game combinations 3:3:3, 4:4:4,
5:5:5 and at the end 5:5. I have to emphasise I did not complicate
about some elements of the game, because the players were very tired. I
simply gave the instructions to try out what they wanted because I
wanted to make certain about the individual qualities of my players.
The second practice was in the gym. We spent the
first 60 minutes dribbling and trying out different conclusions for
warm-up. After stretching we worked on range, dribbling on the patch,
jumps apart-together, left, right (as it can be seen in the videos)...
At the same time I prepared a few station of elementary games (two or
more groups, relays), so that I rose the level of execution through the
competitiveness. The players enjoyed in the execution of the exercise
through the competitiveness. Even though some players are older it was
interesting to observe them how they made a somersault or similar
during the dribble. Naturally, all this made sense at the end of the
week and the players improved a lot. I decided for these so called
´child play´ because my colleague, Mr. Memi Becirovic, told me on one
of the licence practices that he had a lot of star players who were
lazy at individual executions in his first season at Azovmas. But
through so called relays and similar games he rose their level of
competitiveness and at the same time improved the execution of all
elements. Games with catching the balls with bumps were definitely the
most interesting ones, because the ball repels unpredictably to all
sides. With this exercise we practised our responsiveness and focus
(this goes for the defence as well as for catching the ball). The
second part of the practice was completely similar to the first
practice - the combination of games 3:3:3, 4:4:4, 5:5:5 and at the end
5:5.
