Stronger-than-ever Last 32 awaits Eurocup fans!
The 2013-14 Eurocup will resume on Tuesday, January 7,
2014 with the Last 32, a new, improved stage which adds strength,
talent and tradition to the competition. The top three teams in each
regular season group will be joined by the eight Euroleague teams that
did not qualify for that competition’s Top 16. The Last 32 will consist
of eight groups of four teams, half of which will advance. From that
point, the teams will play two-game, single elimination series: the
eighthfinals, quarterfinals, semifinals and finals, which will be on
May 1 and 7 in the cities of the finalists. It is a historical change
of format as, for the first time in the same season, teams that began
the season in the Euroleague will finish it in the Eurocup. As such,
Eurocup fans can expect an increased competitive level without losing
any drama. Through a six-game group stage and two-game elimination
rounds until a champion is crowned, every win will be good as gold. As
always, the 2013-14 Eurocup champion will earn the right to play in the
2014-15 Turkish Airlines Euroleague. Read more here.
