December 18, 2014 - Regular Season Round 10 MVP: Milan Macvan, Partizan NIS Belgrade
Although
his team could not advance to the Last 32, Milan Macvan helped Partizan
NIS Belgrade finish its Eurocup campaign strong with a performance that
earned him the MVP honor for Round 10 of the regular season. Macvan
made 8 of 9 two-point shots and 4 of 4 free throws while scoring 23
points in Partizan's 65-85 road win over CSU Asesoft. He added 8
rebounds and 6 assists for a performance index rating of 34, the best
of the week on winning teams. Bracey Wright of also-eliminated Hapoel
Bank Yahav Jerusalem matched Macvan's output in a 98-88 road loss to
Lietuvos Rytas Vilnius while pouring in 30 points to go with 5
rebounds, 4 assists and a steal. Close behind them, with a 33 index
rating, came Amedeo Della Valle of Grissin Bon Reggio Emilia with 30
points scored, including 7 of 10 three-point shooting, in a 101-87 road

December 16, 2014 - Regular Season, Round 10: looking for the 24th team!
The 2014-15 Eurocup regular season has come to its
final week. Three teams are battling for one remaining Last 32 spot,
while many others aim for the higher spots in the standings. With two
teams having a chance to finish the regular season undefeated, and one
battle for the first place still to be settled, there is plenty of

December 11, 2014 - Regular Season Round 9 MVP: Darius Johnson-Odom, FoxTown Cantu
The
ninth round of the regular season in the Eurocup almost sealed all the
Last 32 tickets. There just one left for grabs in Group C, but the
other 23 have been allocated. One of the teams that snatched one up
this week was FoxTown Cantu in Group B, thanks to a home win over JDA
Dijon. The hosts were led by Darius Johnson-Odom, who racked up a
performance index rating of 40, the most this week among all winning
players, to claim MVP honors. Johnson-Odom scored 31 points -including
4 of 5 twos and 7 of 9 threes-, grabbed 3 boards, dished 4 assists and
drew 7 fouls. Following him, Sharrod Ford of Paris Levallois and Bobby
Jones of Virtus Rome with an index rating performance of 36 each for
respective wins. Finally, Tyler Honeycutt of Khimki Moscow Region

There are two rounds of games to go in the regular
season and 10 tickets for the Last 32 to still to be handed out, so
Round 9 is set to be loaded with high drama. With two undefeated teams
looking to extend their streak, and only a handful of already
eliminated sides, we are in for a number of must-win games with
everything on the line, where every basket counts. Four games are

some others got crucial wins to stay alive in the race. In the latter
group was Baloncesto Seville, who defeated Virtus Rome at home by
98-80, led by a huge Guillermo Hernangomez who racked up an performance
index rating of 31 to earn weekly MVP honors. Hernangomez was the
player with the highest index among all players that won this week. He
scored 21 points (6 of 7 twos), pulled 12 rebounds, dished 4 assists
and had 2 blocks for a great all-around performance in 27 minutes. Next
in line was Walter Tavares of Herbalife Gran Canaria Las Palmas, with
an index 29 thanks to his 13 points and 12 rebounds in a home win over

December 2, 2014 - Regular Season, Round 8: Expect new Last 32 teams!
The 2014-15 Eurocup season is in its final stretch.
Nine teams have already qualified for the Last 32, and while no teams
have yet been eliminated from the race for any of the 15 available
tickets, as many as nine more teams can claim their place this week.
With one game on Tuesday and the remaining 17 games on Wednesday, Round
8 of Eurocup action promises to be a treat.

The
Last 32 gates finally opened in Round 7 of the regular season. One of
the teams that managed to stay alive in Group A and still in the race
was Grissin Bon Reggio Emilia with a 78-72 home win over Paris
Levallois. The leader of the team in this crucial win was Achille
Polonara, who managed to rack up a performance index rating 34. Just
like him, Romeo Travis of Krasny Oktyabr Volgograd also led his team
this week to a 69-67 home over Hapoel Jerusalem to advance to the Last
32, for another 34 index rating. Both players, Travis and Pollonara
therefore share co-MVP honors this week, being the second such honor in
a row for the latter. Polonara scored 24 points, pulled 6 rebounds,
dished 2 assists, had 3 steals and drew 11 fouls for a great all-around

2014-15 Eurocup Regular Season is entering its final
stretch, which will determine which teams advance to the Last 32 and
which will end their season at the end of the calendar year. One team
already qualified for the Last 32 last week, and eight more teams can
accomplish that feat too in Round 7. The week’s action starts with

The
second leg of the Eurocup regular season started this week, and when
the dust settled, Romeo Travis of Krasny Oktyabr Volgograd emerged as
the weekly MVP, thanks to his leadership on court that earned him the
highest performance index rating among all winning players. Travis
scored 25 points (including 9 of 13 twos), pulled 12 rebounds, dished 2
assists and drew 5 fouls for a performance index rating of 34. He led
his team to a huge road win at CSU Asesoft Ploiesti. After him was
Partizan NIS Belgrade's Milan Macvan, who despite his 32 performance
index rating, could not aviod a home loss of his team to Lietuvos Rytas

The second half of the regular season arrives this

The
Eurocup regular season reached its midpoint this week with Round 5.
Everything is still open in the race for the Last 32 will just gain
speed in the upcoming weeks. One player stood above the rest of them
all this round as Walter Hodge of Zenit St. Petersburg led his team to
its second win of the season in Group D and earned weekly MVP honors in
the process. Hodge racked up a performance index rating of 34, more
than any other player this week, thanks to his 25 points (including 12
of 13 free throws), 4 rebounds, 9 assists and 10 drawn fouls. His
performance was good for a slim 89-86 home win over Khimki Moscow
Region in an all-Russian electrifying duel. After him, two players that
led their respective teams in losing efforts: Donta Smith of Hapoel
Jerusalem and Jon Diebler with a performance index rating of 32 each.

November 11, 2014 - Regular Season, Round 5: Half-way to Last 32!
Eurocup action reached the midway point of the
regular season in Round 5 this week with two of the three undefeated
teams so far putting their perfection to the test in tough road games.
At the same time, three teams that are still winless will have an
opportunity to pick up their first victories at home and get back in
the race for the Last 32. Four games are scheduled for Tuesday, with
the remaining 14 coming Wednesday, including a clash of former Eurocup

week, one of the teams that took another step forward was SLUC Nancy in
Group C, a 68-59 winner over Baloncesto Seville as Darius Adams led his
team to victory and earned weekly MVP honors in the process. Adams had

October 30, 2014 - Regular Season Round 3 MVP: Brandon Triche, Virtus Rome
Although
only three rounds have been played so far, the competition is already
fierce in the Eurocup Regular Season. One player who is clearly
standing out here at the start of the season is Virtus Rome's Brandon
Triche, who has earned MVP honors for Round 3, his second such accolade
in three weeks. Triche led his team to an agonizing home win over
Baloncesto Seville, 84-82, and put together a performance index rating
of 27, the highest among all winning players this week. Triche scored
25 points - including 4 of 5 three-pointers - pulled 5 rebounds and
dished 3 assists for a complete performance that kept his team
undefeated at the top of Group C. The highest-ranked player this week
was Marcus Cousin of Krasny Oktyabr Volgograd with a 32 index rating,

October 28, 2014 - Regular Season Round 3: Groups to start taking shape!
After each of the 36 teams got a taste of Eurocup
action both at home and away in the first two weeks, it is time for
positioning battles to take shape in all six groups. Eurocup Regular
Season Round 3 features four clashes between unbeaten teams, and a pair
of games in which as-yet-winless teams will get back in the race.

October 23, 2014 - Regular Season Round 2 MVP: Dee Brown, CSU Asesoft Ploiesti
Dee
Brown has plenty to celebrate after Wednesday’s 103-83 victory over
Lietuvos Rytas Vilnius. The CSU Asesoft Ploiesti guard not only led his
team to its biggest win in competition history, the club’s best start
to a Eurocup season and a share of first place in Group E, but his
brilliant individual performance, which was 1 assist shy of tying an
all-time Eurocup record, netted Brown Eurocup Regular Season Round 2
MVP honors. Brown sparkled with 18 points, 14 assists and 3 steals. He
shot 4 of 8 from downtown and also hauled in 4 rebounds in amassing a
performance index rating of 33, which was the high-water mark for any
player in the competition’s 18 Round 2 games. Brown had stiff

October 21, 2014 - Regular Season Round 2: Opening-week winners seek 2-0 starts!
After an opening week in which teams got the first
taste of the new Eurocup campaign, it’s already time for Round 2 and

play in front of their home fans, while teams that played last week at

Brandon
Triche will remember his Eurocup debut for years to come. Not only was
the Virtus Rome guard the star as his club rolled to a 59-88 victory at
Proximus Spirou Charleroi, but he is also the Eurocup Regular Season

player in the Eurocup’s 18 opening week games. Tiche only committed 1
turnover and drew 8 fouls too. The second-highest index rating of the
competition’s Round 1 came from Lokomotiv Kuban Krasnodar’s Derrick
Brown, who packed up a 33 in his team’s 78-97 win at Stelmet Zielona

October 14, 2014 - Regular Season, Round 1: the 2014-15 Eurocup is here!
The
13th Eurocup season is set to start on October 14, promising to bring
great basketball, a lot of excitement and better teams than ever
before. As many as four former champions - Lokomotiv Kuban Krasnodar
and Khimki Moscow Region of Russia, Lietuvos Rytas Vilnius of Lithuania
and Hapoel Migdal Jerusalem of Israel - lead the way but there are a
lot of favourites. The 2014-15 season starts with the regular season, a
10-game, round-robin stage. Temas were drawn into 6 groups of 6 teams
and the best 4 squads will advance - along with those teams eliminated
from the Turkish Airlines Euroleague regular season - to the Last 32. A
good start will be critical for all teams, so expect a lot of action
from Day 1!
