February 11, 2016 - Eurocup Last 32 Round 6 MVP: Alen Omic, Herbalife Gran Canaria Las Palmas
One
more time, the Last 32 reached a conclusion with 16 teams advancing to
the Eurocup eighthfinals. Many thrillers took place for teams to clinch
the last spots. That was not the case, however, for Herbalife Gran
Canaria Las Palmas, who had already booked a ticket to the next phase.
With the team having done its homework, big man Alen Omic exploded for
a career-high personal performance, and with an index rating of 37 he
earned weekly MVP honors. Omic netted 18 points, pulled 17 rebounds
(also a career high for him), dished 3 assists (another personal
record), had 1 block and drew 7 fouls for a great all-around
performance that led his team to a new home win. After him Stephane
Lasme of Galatasaray Odeabank Istanbul with ani ndex rating performance
of 35 thanks to 15 points, 14 boards, 2 assists, 1 steal and 2 blocks.

February 9, 2016 - Last 32 Round 6: do-or-die time!
The Last 32 comes to an end this week and when the
dust settles, only 16 teams will keep fighting for Eurocup glory. As
many as seven teams have already made it to the eighthfinals, so nine
spots are still open and a lot can happen! One game will be played on
Tuesday, followed by 15 more on a decisive Wednesday. Also in play this
week is home-court advantage in all the two-game series going forward:
the eightfinals, quarterfinals, semifinals and finals. The team with
the best Last 32 record will play at home in the second of each
two-game series all the way until only one team is left standing – and

February 4, 2016 - Eurocup Last 32 Round 5 MVP: Travis Peterson, Avtodor Saratov
The
next-to-last round of the Last 32 featured several showdowns across
Europe as five more teams secured tickets to the following stage. When
the dust settled however, one player stood above the rest with the best
individual performance, and it was none other than Travis Peterson of
Avtodor Saratov, with a performance index rating of 33 that earned him
weekly MVP honors. Peterson led his team to an authoritative road win
at Hapoel Bank Yahav Jerusalem thanks to his 29 points - including 7 of
10 threes -, 6 rebounds, 1 assists, 1 steal and 4 drawn fouls. This was
Peterson's best individual performance so far in the Eurocup. A
teammmate of Peterson's, Paul Stoll, also had the second best
individual performance of the week, tied with Krunoslav Simon of EA7
Emporio Armani Milan, with a 32 index rating performance. Completing
the top performances of the week were Nihad Dedovic and Alex Renfroe,

February 2, 2016 - Last 32 Round 5: Decision time!
Heading into the next-to-last round of the Last 32,
three teams - Strasbourg and Herbalife Gran Canaria Las Palmas in Group
H, plus Unics Kazan in Group M - have already qualified to the Eurocup
Eightfinals. Last 32 Round 5 will be a pivotal one, as many other teams
can reach the next round, plus some others may run out of chances to
advance. One game will be played on Tuesday - an all-Turkish showdown
between Trabzonspor Medical Park and Pinar Karsiyaka Izmir in Group K -
followed by 15 more on a busy Wednesday.

January 28, 2016 - Eurocup Last 32 Round 4 MVP: Adrien Moerman, Banvit Bandirma
Banvit
Bandirma added a new win to its column this round to co-lead Group G,
and the main factor for this success was none other than Adrien
Moerman, who thanks to a performance index rating of 38, the highest
this week overall, became the weekly MVP. Moerman scored 19 points with
almost no miss (3 of 3 twos, 3 of 4 threes and 4 of 4 free throws),
pulled 14 rebounds (carrer high for him), dished 1 assist, had 1 steal,
2 blocks and drew 4 fouls in a great all-around performance, his
personal best in the Eurocup. Next in line was Victor Rudd of Nizhny
Novgorod with his index rating performance of 31, which included 28
points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists and 7 drawn fouls. Dairis Bertans of
Dominion Bilbao Basket had an individual performance of 30 to complete

January 26, 2016 - Last 32 Round 4: First qualifiers could reach next phase
Last 32 Round 4 features rematches of all of last
week's games, only this time in the other city, as the race for the
Eurocup Eighthfinals becomes very much do or die. In fact, five teams
in four different groups this week can become the first qualifiers to
the next phase. The fun starts with four games on Tuesday and winds up
with a dozen on Wednesday!

Odeabank Istanbul took a valuable win against Szolnoki Olaj to stay
atop Group N with a 2-1 record, midway through the Last 32. The main
pillar of that home win was big man Stephane Lasme, who earned weekly
MVP honors thanks to his index rating performance of 35, the highest
among all Eurocup players this round. Lasme netted 20 points, pulled 12
rebounds, dished 4 assists, had 1 steal, 2 blocks and drew 4 fouls for
a great all-around performance. This has also been his best Eurocup
performance so far in his debut season in the competition. Two players
with index rating performances of 34 each, Julian Wright of Dolomiti
Energia Trento and Lasme's teammate Blake Schilb, followed. Dragan

January 19, 2016 - Last 32; Round 3: First games of 10-day double-headers
The Eurocup Last 32 enters a crucial stretch that
begins with all teams playing the first of the two consecutive games
against the same opponents over 10 days or less. Six of those teams
have 2-0 records and know that another win will give them control of
their respective groups. Among those teams, Valencia Basket is still
undefeated on the season, while two others – Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv and
Unics Kazan – play each other. Action in Last 32 Round 3 starts with
four games on Tuesday, and the remaining 12 games are scheduled for
Wednesday.

There
is no time like present for Unics Kazan's Quino Colom. The player from
Andorra is going through the sweetest moment of his career as he
managed to complete another impressive performance to become, again,
the weekly MVP for the Last 32, Round 2 thanks to an index rating
performance of 47, the highest this week in the Eurocup. This is
Colom's third weekly award in the last four rounds, for a personal
career-high which also ties for the sixth best individual performance
ever in the competition. Colom scored 23 points (including 12 of 13
free throws), 4 rebounds, 10 assists, 5 steals and an impressive 13

January 12, 2016 - Last 32, Round 2: Home openers for 16 teams
The 2015-16 Eurocup Last 32 gets into full swing in
Round 2 as 16 teams that were on the road last week now get to play in
front of their home fans. Six of those home teams will be looking to
build on last week's successes on the road and thereby improve to 2-0
records in their respective groups. The excitement starts with two
games on Tuesday, before the remaining 14 games are scheduled for

January 8, 2016 - Eurocup Last 32 Round 1 MVP: Quino Colom, Unics Kazan
The
Eurocup started the second phase of the season with the opening week of
the Last 32, 16 battles across the continent to start paving the road
for the elimination rounds. When the dust settled, one of the hottest
players this season, Quino Colom of Unics Kazan, emerged with the first
weekly MVP honors for 2016 thanks to his index rating perfoemance of
41, the best overall this week. Colom led his team with 25 points, 5
rebounds, 12 assists 1 steal and 8 drawn fouls for his second weekly
accolade this season. It was also Colom's best career performance in
the Eurocup. Travis Peterson of Avtodor Saratov followed in this week's
top performances thanks to his index rating performance of 39 to help
his team take the first Last 32 win. Peterson netted 29 points and

Everything is set for the 2015-16 Eurocup Last 32.
With eight squads arriving from the Turkish Airlines Euroleague, the
new phase has eight groups of four teams each that feature three-time
Eurocup champion Valencia Basket looking to stay perfect and six-time
Euroleague champion Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv making its competition debut.
