February 13, 2019 - 7DAYS EuroCup Top 16 MVP: Bojan Dubljevic, Valencia
Bojan
Dubljevic enhanced his already legendary 7DAYS EuroCup career by
playing some of his best basketball to lead Valencia Basket through an
undefeated Top 16 stage. Already the competition's career leader in
scoring, he moved atop the career rebounding charts, as well, during
the Top 16 and flirted with personal bests in scoring, rebounding and
assists, too. Dubljevic ranked third in the Top 16 in both total
performance index rating and rebounds while lifting his team to the
best record in the phase and ensuring it home-court advantage
throughout the 7DAYS EuroCup Playoffs. After studying the work of all
the candidates, these feats made it easy for Euroleague Basketball to
choose Dubljevic as the 7DAYS EuroCup Top 16 MVP. Read more here.
February 8, 2019 - Top 16 Round 6 MVP: Dragan Apic, Lokomotiv Kuban Krasnodar
It
took Dragan Apic of Lokomotiv Kuban Krasnodar just three 7DAYS EuroCup
games to earn MVP of the Round honors for the first time. Apic led
Lokomotiv to a convincing 84-58 home win against Fraport Skyliners
Frankfurt with 18 points on 7-of-8 shooting plus 4 made free throws
without a miss. He added 6 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 steals and 6 fouls
drawn in 26 minutes off the bench for a performance index rating of 30,
the highest of any player in Top 16 Round 6. Art Parakhouski of Rytas
Vilnius shined in his team's 90-68 home win over AS Monaco. It was a
do-or-die for both teams and Parakhouski carried Rytas into the
playoffs with 18 points on 7-of-8 shooting, 11 rebounds and 4 fouls
drawn for a PIR of 26. Ismet Akpinar of ratiopharm Ulm and Jordan
Taylor of Limoges CSP each had PIRs of 25. Akpinar led Ulm to an 86-68

Parakhouski, the MVP of Top 16 Round 5, whose last-second jump shot
meant a one-point road win that saved his team from elimination.
Parakhouski's jumper with less than 1 second on the clock gave Rytas a
thrilling 77-78 win in a do-or-die game over Partizan NIS Belgrade,
eliminating the hosts while allowing Rytas to play AS Monaco next week
in a winner-take-all showdown for the last 7DAYS EuroCup Quarterfinals
berth. Against Partizan, Parakhouski shined with a game-high 22 points
on near-perfect 10-for-11 two-point shooting to go with 8 rebounds and
3 blocks for a performance index rating of 30, the highest among the
players on winning teams this round. The highest PIR of the round, 35,
belonged to Tyler Larson of Fraport Skyliners Frankfurt, playing in
just his second EuroCup game. Larson posted 24 points, 9 rebounds, 3
assists and 2 steals in a 68-83 home loss against ratiopharm Ulm. Read

Petersburg will give it a spot in the next round. Also at stake

Group G and MoraBanc Andorra of Group H depend only on their own
results and advance with wins. In Group F, LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne and

Round 3. Sikma had a solid all-around game, with 19 points, 12 rebounds
and 6 assists in 33 minutes. In so doing, Sikma set new career highs in
rebounds (12), defensive rebounds (9), and minutes played (33). The
second-best individual performance this week came from UNICS Kazan
shooter Jamar Smith. His PIR of 29 was a personal best for him, as were
his 10 assists. He also added 19 points, 3 rebounds and 3 steals and
downed 5 of 7 three-point shots, extending his streak of making at
least one triple to 50 games. Read more here.

will try to keep their perfect Top 16 records intact. Valencia will
also attempt to extend its six-game winning streak. UNICS Kazan will

January 8, 2019 - Round 2
In such a short round-robin period, there is little
margin for error, so Round 2 of the 7DAYS EuroCup Top 16 is already
crunch time for those teams that lost their Top 16 openers, while the
Round 1 victors will seek to move further clear in their groups. There
will be at least two undefeated teams at the end of Round 2 since the
two 1-0 teams from Group F, LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne and ratiopharm Ulm,
will meet one another and the same is true in Group H with MoraBanc
Andorra and UNICS Kazan. Both Group F games, as well as Unicaja Malaga
versus Crvena Zvezda mts Belgrade, will be on Tuesday evening and

January 5, 2019 - Top 16 Round 1 MVP: Andrew Albicy, MoraBanc Andorra
Andrew
Albicy made history in many ways on Wednesday night as he led MoraBanc
Andorra to victory in its maiden 7DAYS EuroCup Top 16 game and became
MVP for Round 1 of the phase. Albicy set club records for Andorra in
the EuroCup with 6 three-pointers made and a performance index rating
of 37 in pacing an 81-87 win at Cedevita Zagreb. He scored a
career-best 22 points while also tallying 8 assists and 4 steals. The
French playmaker not only put up big numbers, but came through when he
was needed most, after Cedevita rallied from a 17-point deficit to tie
the game with a minute to go. That's when Albicy stepped up with a
tough layup-plus-free throw for the go-ahead score, after which
Cedevita did not recover. Albicy became the first MoraBanc player to
win the EuroCup MVP of the Round honor. Read more here.
