January 5, 2021 - 7DAYS EuroCup Regular Season MVP: Milos Teodosic, Virtus

Basketball is pleased to announce that Milos Teodosic of Virtus
Segafredo Bologna has been chosen as the MVP of the 2020-21 7DAYS
EuroCup Regular Season. Teodosic has been the undisputed leader on the
best team in the competition until now. Virtus is the first team to
record a perfect 10-0 regular season record since 2017. Teodosic took
part in eight of those games, leading his team in average points and
performance index ranking for the entire regular season. The 7DAYS
EuroCup Regular Season MVP award was introduced before the 2017-18
season. Scottie Wilbekin of Darussafaka Istanbul was the first winner;
Pierria Henry of UNICS Kazan captured it in the 2018-19 campaign; and
Teodosic claimed the award in 2019-20, meaning that he has now become

December 19, 2020 - MVP of the Week: Assem Marei, Boulogne Metropolitans 92
With
a stellar performance in a historical win for Boulogne Metropolitans
92, center Assem Marei has earned the 7DAYS EuroCup MVP of the Week
honor for the first time in his career. Marei led Metropolitans to an
86-81 home win against Germani Brescia that helped his team clinch
first place in Regular Season Group B with a 7-3 record. He led the way
with 24 points on 7-for-15 two-point and 10-for-13 free throw shooting,
to which he added 15 rebounds, 3 assists, a steal, a block and 11 fouls
drawn for a PIR of 37, the highest of the week. His 10 offensive boards
are the second-most in EuroCup history and his PIR of 37 matched the
Metropolitans club record. Following him, Jamal Jones of Bahcesehir
Koleji Istanbul had a PIR of 36 in his team's 108-74 victory against

It's decision week in the 7DATS EuroCup Regular
Season, as the last two teams headed forward to the Top 16 could both
be decided in Round 10, while many of the 14 teams already advanced
should find out their opponents in the next phase. Four games get the

December 12, 2020 - MVP of the Week: Isaiah Canaan, UNICS Kazan
Isaiah
Canaan had a vintage shooting performance in UNICS Kazan's 76-71 home
win on Wednesday over JL Bourg en Bresse that has earned him the 7DAYS
EuroCup MVP of the Week honor. Canaan amassed a performance index
rating of 39, the highest in 14 games played this week and the
second-best in the EuroCup this season. He scored 33 points, also tied
for the second-best total this season. His 8 triples made on 13
attempts matched the EuroCup's season-high and were the most by any
UNICS player since 2009. Canaan also made 4 of 6 two-pointers, had 6
rebounds, 5 assists and 1 steal, earning his first MVP of the Week
honor just nine games into his debut season in the competition. Erick
Green of Bahcesehir Koleji Istanbul had the second-highest of the week,
with 28, in an 88-75 loss against Partizan NIS Belgrade in which he

Round 9 could potentially see all of the 10
remaining tickets to the 7DAYS EuroCup Top 16 gobbled up, though there
are scenarios where all of those teams are pushed into playing for Top
16 qualification in Round 10 – or beyond in the cases of games to be
made up. Joventut Badalona and UNICS Kazan in Group A, Boulogne
Metropolitans 92 and Buducnost VOLI Podgorica in Group B and AS Monaco

The
best single-game performance index rating by a player on a winning team
in 7DAYS EuroCup games played this week belonged to Jamal Jones of
Bahcesehir Koleji Istanbul, earning him the MVP of the Week honor.
Jones was near-perfect in Bahcesehir's 77-87 win at Joventut, the
club's first-ever EuroCup victory. He netted a season-high 34 points,
making 7 of 8 two-pointers, 6 of 8 threes and 2 of 2 free throws. He
also had 4 rebounds, 2 steals, 1 block and 1 assist for a performance
index rating of 38, the best on a winning team this week. The highest
PIR in this week's games belongs to Gary Browne of Dolomiti Energia
Trento, who matched this season's best PIR, 41, in a double-overtime
102-104 home loss against Nanterre 92. Brown collected 30 points, 10

Despite four game suspensions before Round 8, five
make-up games scheduled for later this week set up a scenario in which

November 14, 2020 - MVP of the Week: Dylan Osetkowski, Ulm
In
a key victory that bolstered his team's Top 16 chances, ratiopharm Ulm
big man Dylan Osetkowski put on the most productive performance of the
7DAYS EuroCup season so far to earn his first MVP of the Week award.
Osetkowski dominated Ulm's 88-76 home win over Germani Brescia by
scoring 32 points while making 5 of 7 two-point shots, 4 of 5 threes,
and all 10 of his free throws. He also collected 7 rebounds and 7 fouls
drawn for a performance index rating of 41, which also tied for Ulm's
single-game individual record. The second- and third-best performances
of the week belonged to a single player, Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana
team captain Jaka Blazic. In a rescheduled Round 2 game against Frutti
Extra Bursaspor on Monday, the veteran swingman posted a career-best 39

Accordingly, every game matters - and in some cases every points with

November 5, 2020 - MVP of the Week: Alan Williams, Lokomotiv Kuban Krasnodar
The
most points scored by a 7DAYS EuroCup team without overtime in almost
eight years also produced the MVP of the Week, rebounding ace Alan
Williams of Lokomotiv Kuban Krasnodar. Williams registered career highs
of 27 points and 17 rebounds for a performance index rating of 36 as
Lokomotiv downed host Telenet Giants Antwerp 94-114. Not since Crvena
Zvezda Belgrade posted 116 points in November of 2012 had a team scored
as much in 40 minutes as Lokomotiv did on Wednesday. His fourth
straight double-double gave Williams the longest such streak in the
competition since 2014 while his 8 offensive rebounds matched the
fourth-highest single-game total in EuroCup history. This is the second

The gates to the 7DAYS EuroCup Top 16 could be
opened this week with two teams knocking on the door. Both Joventut
Badalona in Group A and Virtus Segafredo Bologna in Group C control
their destinies and advance with Wednesday wins. Another undefeated
side, Group D's Dolomiti Energia Trento, could climb ever closer to the
next stage with a home win over Frutti Extra Bursaspor. Round 6 action

In
just his third 7DAYS EuroCup game ever, Pierre Pelos led JL Bourg en
Bresse to ambush one of the biggest names in continental basketball and
thereby earn his club's first MVP of the Week honor. Pelos, a
28-year-old center, registered team highs of 28 points and 7 rebounds
in Bourg's resounding 76-89 road victory over Partizan NIS Belgrade on
Wednesday. His shooting was near perfect – 8-for-11 inside, 2-for-2 on
the arc, 6-for-6 at the foul line – and he played 25 minutes without a
turnover to amass a 33 performance index rating, tops among all EuroCup
players this week. Right behind him with a 32 PIR was Josh Adams, who
scored a career-high 24 points in still-unbeaten Segafredo Virtus
Bologna's 76-95 road win at Telenet Giants Antwerp. Adams missed only 2

A full slate of games will mark the halfway point of
the 7DAYS EuroCup Regular Season as Round 5 features the last three

October 22, 2020 - MVP of the Week, Gytis Masiulis, Lietkabelis Panevezys
With
his team in major need of a victory, Lietkabelis Panevezys big man
Gytis Masiulis came up with a huge Round 4 performance that has earned
him the MVP of the Week award. Masiulis led Lietkabelis to an 80-73 win
over visiting Telenet Giants Antwerp by scoring 26 points on 5-for-9
two-point and 3-for-5 three-point shooting. The 22-year old rookie
center also pulled down 10 reboundst to go with 2 assists, 2 blocks, a
steal and 7 fouls drawn for a performances index rating 38, the highest
in the EuroCup this season and a club record for Lietkabelis. Virtus
Segafredo Bologna point guard Milos Teodosic had this week's second
best PIR, 32, in a victory over AS Monaco that kept Virtus undefeated.

In a week in which all but two games are first-time
meetings, the showdown between the only unbeaten co-leaders of any
group, Virtus Segafredo Bologna vs. AS Monaco on Wednesday, highlights
the fourth round of the 7DAYS EuroCup Regular Season on Tuesday and
Wednesday. Two winless teams in the same Group C, Lietkabelis Panevezys
and visiting Telenet Giants Antwerp, will be able to join the race for

At
the heart of the biggest team scoring performance of the season so far
was one of the best individual rebounding exploits in recent years.
Alan Williams amassed a double-double of 17 points and 17 rebounds to
lead Lokomotiv Kuban Krasnodar's 76-105 victory over host Lietkabelis
Panevezys and secure the MVP of the Week honor. Williams finished with
a performance index rating of 33. His 17 rebounds were a new Lokomotiv
record and matched the best total in the EuroCup since 2017. Another
center, veteran Ante Tomic of Joventut Badalona, followed with a PIR of
31 based on his 21 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists in a 72-91 road win
at Bahcesehir Koleji Istanbul. Next came Frutti Extra Bursaspor forward
Metin Turen, who debuted this season with 20 points for a PIR of 30 in

After
a road win that was worth first place in Group B, center Willie Reed of
Buducnost VOLI Podgorica has walked off with the MVP honor for Round 2.
Reed, playing in just his second 7DAYS EuroCup game, inspired Buducnost
to an 83-89 decision over Boulogne Metropolitans 92 by scoring 22
points and pulling 8 rebounds. His performance index rating of 30 was
the highest about players on winning teams in Round 2, and his 9-for-11
field goal shooting was Buducnost's second-most efficient ever by a
player attempting 8 or more shots. The top PIR of the week, 32, went to
Bahcesehir Koleji Istanbul guard Alex Perez, who poured in 33 points,
including 10 of 13 two-pointers, in an 89-88 road loss to UNICS Kazan.

Five teams going home after being Round 1 road
winners are among 12 teams looking to stay perfect in Round 2, which
features six games each on Tuesday and Wednesday. UNICS Kazan (0-1)
looks to overcome a rare 0-1 record when it hosts Bahcesehir Koleji
Istanbul (0-1) for a historic first meeting between the two on Tuesday.
It was just the second opening-game loss in 13 EuroCup seasons for
UNICS, which has never gone 0-2.

7DAYS EuroCup newcomer, do-it-all guard Troy Caupain of ratiopharm Ulm,
celebrated his debut by leading a comeback victory and earning the MVP
honor for Round 1 of the regular season. Caupain did a lot of
everything to help Ulm rally from 14 points behind at halftime to
defeat Mornar Bar 84-76. He scored 18 points while missing just 2
shots. He had a team-high 8 rebounds and his 6 assists tied for the
best of the game. In the end, his 34 performance index rating was not
only tops on a winning team in Round 1, but also tied for Ulm's
third-highest in eight EuroCup seasons. With that 34 PIR, Caupain had
good company, none other than former EuroCup champ Jamar Smith, whose
25 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists were not enough to prevent UNICS

The long wait for 7DAYS EuroCup games is over as the
2020-21 regular season opens on Tuesday and Wednesday in 12 cities and
10 countries across the continent. Three games will get the ball
