Turkish Airlines EuroLeague2017-18 regular season
April 7, 2018 - Round 30 MVP: Anthony Randolph, Real Madrid
After
missing half of the season with an injury, Real Madrid forward Anthony
Randolph left his best performance yet for the regular season finale.
In 106-86 home win over Brose Bamberg, Randolph accumulated a
performance index rating of 38, his highest as a Madrid player and the
highest of this week, earning him MVP of the Round honors for the
fourth time in his EuroLeague career. Randolph scored 23 points on
4-for-6 two-point shooting and matched his career-best by making 4 of 4
three-point shots. Randolph also registered a career-high 5 steals,
along with 5 rebounds and 4 assists, making him Madrid's third MVP of
the Round this season, after Luka Doncic and Fabien Causeur. The
second-best performance of this round belongs to Nemanja Nedovic of
Unicaja Malaga, who had a career-high PIR of 36. In 91-99 overtime road
win over Fenerbahce Dogus Istanbul, Nedovic posted a career-high 31
points and set a club record by making a perfect 13 of 13 shots from
the free throw line. Read more here.
April 4, 2018 - Round 30
The eight playoff teams are now known, but the games
of Round 30 will determine the four playoff matchups. Only one game
will pit two playoff sides against one another, Olympiacos Piraeus
against Zalgiris Kaunas, while Panathinaikos Superfoods Athens’s visit
to Milan and Real Madrid’s home game against Brose Bamberg will decide
which team finishes in the top four and gains home-court advantage for
the playoffs. Read more here.

April 2, 2018 - MVP for March: Tornike Shengelia, Baskonia Vitoria Gasteiz
Others
came close, but never before has a Turkish Airlines EuroLeague team won
six games in a single month until Baskonia Vitoria Gasteiz did so in
March to vault its way up the standings. Even though he missed one of
those victories with an injury, there is no doubt that one leader in
Baskonia's effort was big man Tornike Shengelia, who is Euroleague
Basketball's choice as MVP for March. Shengelia got the ball rolling
for Baskonia with a tone-setting double-double in the first victory of
the streak and went on to compile a team-high performance index rating
average of 17 for the month. Baskonia not only beat two eventual
playoff teams and took away that distinction from a third one, but each
of the six victories came by double digits for an average margin of
14.6 points! Despite being hobbled physically in the middle of that
run, Shengelia played his role to perfection, exuding confidence and
making plays whenever he took the court. Read more here.
March 31, 2018 - Round 29 MVP: Luka Doncic, Real Madrid
Luka
Doncic of Real Madrid was back to his magic self on Friday night in the
Serbian capital. Not only did the teenage superstar hit a game-winning
three-pointer in a 79-82 road win over Crvena Zvezda mts Belgrade,
which kept Madrid in the race for home-court advantage in the Turkish
Airlines Euroleague Playoffs, but he also gave an outstanding all-round
performance to earn the MVP of the Round honor. Doncic had a
performance index rating of 35 by scoring 24 points, making 4 of 5
two-point shots and 3 of 7 three-pointers, including a game winner with
0.9 seconds on the clock. Doncic grabbed 9 rebounds, dished 4 assists,
had 3 steals and drew 10 fouls. This marked the fifth time this season
Doncic accumulated an index rating of 35 or higher, and no other player
has done it more than once. This is Doncic’s fourth MVP of the Round
honor this season, and the eighth in his career. Read more here.

performance index rating among players on winning teams, good enough
for them to become co-MVPs of the Round. Milutinov earned the first
such distinction of his 107-game career by leading Olympiacos to 89-82
win over Anadolu Efes Istanbul that assured the Reds home-court
advantage in the playoffs. Milutinov set a career high with 26 points,
shooting 8 for 9 on two-pointers and 4 for 5 from the free throw line.

As
the undisputed leader of Panathinaikos Superfoods Athens, it was only
fitting that Nick Calathes should march his team into the Turkish
Airlines EuroLeague Playoffs with an individual performance on Tuesday

sitting out the entire fourth quarter, Calathes dominated as
Panathinaikos posted a playoffs-clinching 91-71 victory against
visiting Crvena Zvezda mts Belgrade. He made 7 of 8 two-point shots for
17 points, dished 10 assists for his ninth double-double of the season,

October 30, 2017 - Turkish Airlines EuroLeague MVP for October: Luka Doncic, Real Madrid
To
continue calling him a rising star, even if he is just 18 years old, is
suddenly out of date, behind the times, so last spring! In a few short
weeks, superstardom has arrived in a shower of fireworks for Luka
Doncic, who is Euroleague Basketball's choice by acclamation as MVP for
October in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague. With more responsibility on
his shoulders at a younger age than any player in memory, Doncic made
sure that injury-riddled Real Madrid finished October as one of just
two EuroLeague teams unbeaten through four rounds of play - and he did
so in breathtaking fashion. Among his feats this month, Doncic posted
the highest performance index rating, 129, through four games of any
EuroLeague player since 2000. His 96 points also matched the most this
decade in a season's first four games. In Madrid's first win, he broke
his previous best scoring total by 10 points; in the last two, he
matched that new career high and exceeded it by a point. Read more here.
October 28, 2017 - Round 4 MVP: Luka Doncic, Real Madrid
For
the second time in a row and the sixth occasion since December, Real
Madrid whiz kid Luka Doncic is the MVP of the Round after inspiring his
team to its latest impressive victory. The 18-year-old guard scored a
career-high 28 points during Madrid's resounding 66-87 victory at
Zalgiris Kaunas on Thursday night, which allowed the Spanish giant to
reach the end of Round 4 as one of only two unbeaten teams in the
competition. Doncic achieved his feat in just 27 minutes on the floor,
with 24 of his points coming after halftime. He converted 9 of his 13
field goal attempts (5 of 7 two-pointers and 4 of 6 shots from behind
the arc) along with all 6 of his free throws. Doncic also pulled in 9
rebounds and dished 4 assists for a personal index rating of 35 – the
highest of all players in Round 4. This is the second time the
precocious Doncic has won back-to-back MVP honors in his short career,
and he also becomes the first player to win two MVP awards in the same
week, having also taken the prize following Round 3's games on Tuesday
and Wednesday. Read more here.
