May 7, 2021 - MVP for April: Will Clyburn, CSKA Moscow
The
last Final Four MVP is ready for his next appearance at the Turkish
Airlines EuroLeague's crowning event later this month in Cologne,
Germany. CSKA Moscow forward Will Clyburn proved that much while
leading his team to a 6-0 record in April that included the highest
average performance index rating for any player in the playoffs, which
was more than enough to earn him Euroleague Basketball’s nod as MVP for
April. CSKA swept its playoff with Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul while all
other series reached five games, and Clyburn was the catalyst of that
success. The fifth-year Euroleague veteran was at his best throughout
the playoffs with a PIR average of 22.7 over three games to lead CSKA
to its 17th Final Four in the last 18 opportunities. Before that,
Clyburn helped CSKA close out the regular season wins against Khimki
Moscow Region, LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne and Panathinaikos OPAP Athens by
an average margin of 16.7 points, rounding out CSKA's perfect month of
April. Read more here.
May 6, 2021 - MVP of the Week: Shavon Shields, Milan
The
best single-game playoffs performance in more than 15 years has earned
AX Armani Exchange Milan forward Shavon Shields the first MVP honor of
his three-season Turkish Airlines EuroLeague career. With career highs
of 34 points and a 41 performance index rating, Shields carried Milan
to a nail-biting 92-89 home win over FC Bayern Munich in their
best-of-five series finale on Tuesday to clinch the club's first Final
Four appearance since 1992. His PIR is the best following the very
first night of the modern playoffs format, back in 2005, and his point
total is tied for the highest in a playoffs victory over that span.
Shields was followed by another stellar clutch performer as Chris
Singleton led Anadolu Efes Istanbul across the finish line to the Final
Four in an 88-83 home win over Real Madrid that went down to the final
minute. Read more here.

May 1, 2021 - MVP of the Week: Will Clyburn, CSKA Moscow
After
missing almost the whole 2019-20 season with a torn ACL, CSKA Moscow's
Will Clyburn was back with a vengeance this season and he sealed that
with a career performance that allowed his team to go to its ninth
straight Final Four and earn him the MVP of the Week honor for Games 3
and 4 of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Playoffs. Clyburn shined in
Game 3 with a PIR 38 at Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul and led CSKA to a
series sweep that punched its ticket to be in Cologne in late May to
play for the title. It was a night to remember for Clyburn, who set new
personal bests in PIR, points (34), three-pointers made (5) and free
throws made (11). He also added 7 rebounds and 1 steal to a great
all-around performance in 31 minutes coming off the bench. It was the
highest PIR for the winner of a playoff game in 15 years. Read more here.

April 26, 2021 - Game 3
The Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Playoffs could be
concluded this week with three teams needing just one more win to
secure Final Four qualification, while the other series is perfectly
poised at 1-1. The first team with an opportunity to book a place at
the Final Four is Anadolu Efes Istanbul, which travels to Real Madrid
knowing that victory on either Tuesday or Thursday will be enough to
advance. Efes has made one of the most dominant starts to a playoffs
series ever seen, winning all eight quarters en route to taking Game 1
by 27 points and Game 2 by 23 points. Coach Ataman's team has been able
to count upon major contributions from its star backcourt duo of Shane
Larkin and Vasilije Micic, who combined for an average of 32.5 points
and 9 assists over the first two games. But they were by no means the
only contributors, with Sertac Sanli also dominating the frontcourt
with 11.5 points and 5.5 rebounds per game. Read more here.

April 25, 2021 - Co-MVPs of the Week: Pangos, Zenit and Davies, Barcelona
The
only Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Playoffs series that is tied after two
games produced co-MVPs of the Week as Kevin Pangos of Zenit St
Petersburg and Brandon Davies of FC Barcelona shared performance index
ratings of 33 in their teams' respective victories. Zenit struck first,
taking Game 1 by 74-76 on Wednesday as Pangos scored game-high 19
points, making all 3 of his two-point attempts while knocking down 4 of
6 three-pointers. The Zenit playmaker also dished a personal playoffs
high of 9 assists to go with 3 rebounds and 7 fouls drawn. Davies
returned the favor by leading Barcelona to an 81-78 overtime win in
Game 2 between them. He had team highs of 22 points and 8 rebounds
while his 12 free throws made tied the high in any playoffs game since
2012.Read more here.
April 22, 2021 - Game 2
Zenit St Petersburg became the first eighth-place
team to upset the regular-season champ in Game 1 of the Turkish
Airlines EuroLeague Playoffs on Wednesday as it stole the home-court
advantage in its best-of-five series. Zenit is joined by CSKA Moscow,
Anadolu Efes Istanbul and AX Armani Exchange Milan as the Game 1
winners. While Efes blasted Real Madrid on Tuesday, Milan had one of
the greatest comebacks in playoff history to beat FC Bayern Munich on
the buzzer. CSKA entered the fourth quarter down 2 on Wednesday before
dominating Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul down the stretch. Then Zenit held
off FC Barcelona to make history. Why is Game 1 so important? Because
since the EuroLeague started best-of-five playoff series in 2009, Game
1 winners have gone on to win 38 of the 44 series. The series resume
with Game 2 on Thursday and Friday. Read more here.

with the opening games in the four best-of-five quarterfinals series on
Tuesday, April 20 and Wednesday, April 21. The action gets underway in
Istanbul on Tuesday when Anadolu Efes Istanbul hosts Real Madrid for
the start of their series. This will be the second time that these two
teams meet in the playoffs, the first time was in 2014-15 when Los
Blancos triumphed 3-1 and went on to win the EuroLeague title in
Madrid. Later Tuesday, AX Armani Exchange Milan faces FC Bayern Munich
